I'm new to Steemit but noticed the big interest in cryptocurrency on the platform. Not because of it's own currency, but the platform is full of predictions when it comes to all sorts of crypto. This made me think of a work I made back in 2014-2015 called:

Pizza Economy

On my daily trip to work I always pass the same pizza restaurant. One of the windows of the restaurant shows the stock of pizza boxes for their daily delivery service. They would leave the unused boxes in the window when they close at night. This way I was able to see exactly how many pizza's have been sold the night before when I walked by in the morning.

The fascinating thing is that the boxes are stacked like a chart. Which always kept me wondering if it was some kind of economic prediction.

I've been studying cryptocurrency for a while now and I started to see a link. The pizza boxes in front of the window are actually a very transparent economic model. With a little bit of fantasy you can almost compare it to the blockchain ledger. The extreme variation per day reminds me of the current state of cryptocurrency in the past week.

Bottom line is no matter if you #buythedip, #skipthedip or #hodl, just #followthepizza.
