Bitcoin is the undisputed Crypto King and will remain so for at least foreseeable future. Absolutely, no doubt about that.
Had you asked this question in 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 then it was wise and had proven so continuously. If you asked this question each year and thereafter it was still very much wise and until now with there being no seeming limit to the rise of Bitcoin may overachieve, it’s still wise.
Bitcoin was meant to go high and high.

I just came across @onealfa post about Roger Ver interview about BCASH that perfectly depicts that all forks are just shortcuts, easy money, and the Bitcoin tag. I don't think they give a shit about the Technology.
