BitCoin started the whole movement and "the genie is out of the bottle" - there are many challengers in the same space as well as building on to form eco-systems based on similar platforms.
No one can predict the future, but, it is irrelevant if BitCoin survives or not. For now, it is the big gorilla, but for how much longer?
