The 5 Cryptocurrencies I invested in and my reasons why.

First of all, I'm not telling anyone they should or should not invest in a certain coin or in to cryptocurrency at all. This is just a list of the 5 coins I have put a small investment in and the reasons I chose them specific coins.

#1 - Bitcoin - Bitcoin was the first coin I had ever heard of, and I was hearing big things and wanted to et involved. I have only been in the game for a few weeks and all my investments have a long term plan. When I made a decision on investing in crypto, Bitcoin had just hit around $3500 per coin but was slowly coming down. I watched the price decrease a little more before I made a small investment in the hope it will keep on rising in the long run for me to make a small profit.

#2 - Ethereum - Ethereum is a decentralized platform that runs smart contracts. It is reasonably new so applications are few and far between but it has the potential to become such a powerful platform for users which ensures fast networking, safe networking and much more. All whilst cutting out "the middle man".

#3 - Litecoin - I'll admit I don't know an awful lot about Litecoin yet but it is described as being the Silver coin if Bitecoin was Gold. This alone, especially with the price only being around $39 means when cryptocurrency becomes a lot more mainstream, making the majority of the prices of most coins shoot up, Litecoin could be a nice little earner in say around 5 years time.

#4 - STEEM/Steem $ - if you are reading this, then you probably agree that STEEM has big potential! I love the idea of having a Blog/Social network site which the users actually get paid to use. Social media I a part of most people's lives these days so if people can get paid to socialise online then why the hell would they not!? I think once more people start to hear about STEEMIT and realise how much of a great idea it is, STEEM will fly up.

#5 - Potcoin - Now this is a random choice, but has some thought behind it. Plus, the price is so low right now you can have thousands of coins for just a few $'s so if it does pick up and comes even close to $1 per coin in the future then it could be a great profit maker! The reason I invested a few dollars in this coin was because Potcoin itself says "PotCoin is an ultra-secure digital cryptocurrency, network and banking solution for the $100 billion global legal marijuana industry." ... and I think weed will be legalised is a lot more cities and countries in the close future which means this market will grow and this coin could be the coin used to purchase online.

Before I finish off, I'd just like to say IF you decide to invest in any of the coins, make sure you only invest an amount which you would be ok with losing IF the market collapsed. I personally think a lot of the coins will fly up in price over the next 5-10 years, but the amounts I have invested in to the coins is an amount I am happy to never get back if it didn't go my way.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I hope it has made some of you think about doing some research in to some of the less popular coins and maybe try and work out which ones you think might flourish in the coming years like bitcoin has over the last 5 or so years.

Thanks and don't forget to Upvote if you enjoyed the post, comment and maybe even Resteem if you think it would be useful to any of your followers.

Peace ✌🏼

personally, if i hadn't already invested and only just heard of litecoin, i'd have invested now. i feel it still has space to grow.

Hey thanks for sharing your investments. I'm also looking forward to invest into crypto currencies and I probably follow you with bitcoin, ethereum and steem. I also look closely to Ethereum Classic and Siacoin. What are your thoughts on these two? :)
Greetings from Germany

Honestly, I've not done much research in to ethereum classic. I really like the idea of siacoin though! That's another one which is a simple idea but could be one of them platforms which people use on a daily basis in the next few years?

I like your approach and definitely think it's the most important thing that people use the currency on a daily basis. That's why bitcoin is so huge. People use it.
Meh I'm just a little overwhelmed by the supply and various currencies available. I will research a little bit more and then write a blog post about my investment :)
Thanks for the reply

I've followed you, I will keep an eye out for it man! All the best.

Great post! I upvoted and will follow you! ;)

good information keep it up.

thanks good information

nice post and do keep on doing what you are doing. in my opinion people who are in it for the long run are the people that will truly profit from the market. its the whales and people who are looking for a quick buck that are contributing to the bloodbath that every coin is experiencing these past few week. always remember to buy low and sell high. because the difference between gold and crypto currency is that we do not really know how much gold there is in this world and frankly the supply could possibly suddenly boom out of nowhere, but with crypto currency, you know exactly how much there is and how much it could supply at any given moment. make sure that you know that you are in control of your crypto currencies and hodl on for dear life.

Great points, thanks!

good post ,i havent invested in any of the above coins lol, cant afford ..promoting yours, hope you promote one of my post too..
