Wired magazine just ran this article on Moxie Marlinspike, creator of Signal the encrypted messaging app. He is creating a new cryptocurrency of his own called MobileCoin. Based on what he says about his currency, I am going to say that there is a good chance that it will be the cryptocurrency that will put Bitcoin to rest.
3 features of his currency are:
It will be super easy to use.
It will be super fast.
It will stay secure.
The currency isn’t supposed to be out for al least 6 months to a year from now. So there still is a lot of work to do. I personally am super excited about it. It seems that it is trying to do everything that I would want from a cryptocurrency. Read the article and let me know what your thoughts are.
