Beside the fact that blockchain protocols lose their value once they are centrally controlled, who is going to be in charge of auditing Venezuela's gold and oil reserves and production in order to show proof that the cryptocurrency is worth anything?

This whole thing smells like a desperate money grab by Maduro's government and they do not care if they fleece unsuspecting citizens around the world in the process.
