Raised in a polygamous family
And seeing my mother smile in depression
Just to conceal her melancholy
Taught me multiple lessons on this cosmos.
Patience and prayer as I struggle and survive
She knew even when I was walking in my father's footsteps
I was her reflection and blood
I got her eyes and they would shade a tear if hers did.
She was my security, tried to protect me from;
My Father's antagonistic side
The stony-broke side of life
pessimists and girls too.
She wanted me to hustle and tussle
But do it the right way.
She still wants me to build a castle
And her methodology is still her way, for me to pray!
The breast milk I fed
Equates to the IQ I attained
The paths she has led
Are clearer than any that anyone has ever maintained 
She knows I struggle and survive
She still tries to support
Through advice and funds for me to thrive
It's up to me to create a family fort.
