I have little doubt we're on the very front edge of a very large wave leading towards mainstream adoption.
However, I'd caution anyone against "going stupid" with their investment and thinking this will just be a straight shot to the moon... that'll end us in the same state of "irrational exuberance" that led people to throw all their retirement savings at any and all things that had "dot com" in the name, back then... In the crypto world, that would mean "beware of shitcoins." Because they will still be shitcoins, even if momentarily carried along by rises in "the good stuff."

Great points. Right after this segment there was a segment by a Bitcoin bear, and he specifically said that most of these coins won't be around in a few years. His bearish case for bitcoin wasn't anything to do with bitcoin or the technology, he actually thinks the technology is great. His case was that he thinks only one will eventually emerge as the go to coin and he doesn't feel like trying to guess which one that might be... he even acknowledged that it could be Bitcoin.
