yes, at the moment it's hard to earn money from renting out diskspace. (I've got a few nodes out there) Maybe investing is the better idea. Because even if you have petabytes of diskspace... you need someone who is willing to rent it.
So let's hope that the user base will grow... maybe with the nextcloud-sia-storage-backend-thing ;)

I am mining sia with 3 GPU's at the moment. I think for the same money as per your original post you would be better to set up a miner at the moment.. of course buying coins is another easier option as well.
canyou recomend me cheapest motherbaord barenes sytem and a MOBO that can actualy take 3 GPUss?
i wanna build a second rig, now im ustusing anof the shelf HP pc with video card and i wanna get another video card in there and can i just install multiple video cards they are all just pic E right?
Actually I mine using GPU. I like it. it's great.
For mining using the HDD, i use BURST. Although, I would not recommended if you are only allocating some Gb.
Oh the userbase wil grow! ethereum and golem based super compuer users will need siacoin to do the storage for the super computing peopel will be doing!
seriously wwhen someone figures out that you can simulate the entire universe but you neeed the entire ethereum network to do it they will be addicted, ids will only wwanna play games usng an ethereum based system where you get the power of millions of video cards nstead of just one!
imagine what a million video cards could do for video game graphics! you could havve pixar movies inreal time
and for stuff like that you will need siacoin to use all the extra storage!
siacoin will have a program to install on old compuers tooo siacoin lite that lets you expand ur rig and run storage on evenolder comptters to take advantage of every gigabyte
