I cannot give investment advice so I cannot say if it's a good financial investment. In my opinion it's a good time investment. It's worth the time it takes to learn the necessary knowledge to potentially program in Tau. If you're a developer interested in writing billion dollar smart contracts or creating reliable smart contracts for DAOs or DCOs then go with Tau when it is finished. If you're in academia, in information security, interested in philosophy, then many of the topics involved in studying the design of Tau will be inherently interesting to you. Finally, we need people who have academic backgrounds who can help explain what Tau is and while I'm doing my part I cannot do it alone.
