in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemians,

Robert Cornish who was the former chief information officer at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has been hired by the renowned crypto exchange Gemini, where he will function as the company’s chief technology officer. In the history of the crypto exchange, there has never been a chief technology, so, this is a first and will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the company.

Gemini was founded by the Winklevoss brothers, and has continued to grow, while adding more services to its exchange platform. According to the Winklevoss brothers, Cornish would take charge of the strategy and technology team, and he will also take charge of the implementation and facilitation of the SMARTS Market Surveillance by Nasdaq, which is a project that will grant Gemini the ability to monitor the Bitcoin market in real time, and also proffer T1 and real time solutions necessary for market surveillance.

This innovation comes at a time when the competition on the cryptocurrency scene is on the rise and every crypto service is doing all it can to outdo the other, and Gemini is using advancement in technology to rise above the competition. The market surveillance will enable the monitoring of order books on the Gemini network.

Gemini has proven to be a successful company since inception, and that is because of its visionary leaders and team, and this latest addition to the team is an added improvement after the approval Gemini received to extend its cryptocurrency reach, including the addition of Zcash as a tradeable cryptocurrency.
