Hi Jerry, this is so true. As I recall it was Samuel Brannan who in the gold rush in California sold people panning equipment & supplies and became very very rich with that (also because he let people pay high prices). He served it's users on a large scale and was one of the few who did and made a of money along the way.

And Levi Strauss started as a gold miner. He created blue jeans as work clothes that would hold up under the digging and panning in water that was required to find gold. He sold them to gold miners and became rich.
