Japan is positioning itself as a hub and leader in the crypto space. Such a smart move on their part because they are going to have some serious financial challenges due to their aging and decreasing population.
As other countries crack down on crypto money will flow into Japan, to their (and our) benefit.

The last thing we need right now is for Tether to implode and Bitfinex to get shut down, or another massive hack of some exchange.

Nothing major news came and bitcoin started going down and so the other coins as they are mainly derived by bitcoin.So what I understand by this is that some powers or might be government is trying to manipulate the prices.They are selling it with the name of popped bubble or crash and then they will buy to benefit from it.

The very same charts in the first post are now showing that things have settled and as a result, I am fully back in the market. I encourage everyone to BUY BUY BUY because the correction is done
following the correction by https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/ shows we've been just about sideways for the past 24 hrs so I'd have to agree. Barring any new developments, I think this bottom has arrived too. Which ones bounce back and by how much is anyone's guess.

The bitcoin under too many people are very scared by how much it has come down but it is normal demand and supply has declined, but it is normal to balance. The bitcoin bet that in a few days it will normalize and rise again just have to wait and continue investing and working is more. Right now we have to work and buy bitcoin and other altcoin so that when they increase the investment they multiply.

Everyone has to learn this the hard way at least once. One of the first stocks I decided to buy, I fired 6 times and caught the falling knife all the way down. I amazing called the bottom with my sell order. If I just held and stopped watching, my return would have been a tidy 300% vs the 52% loss.
If it gets really ugly I will use the Crypto Bobby Method of Doge investing. Forget it, toss the Ledger Nano in storage a few years and then check back for the gains.

Hey it's simple man, my strategy is:
1.) FOMO buy at all time highs, aim to always buy as high as possible!
2.) As soon as the price starts to sink, start selling, trust me I've charts. Aim to find the bottom and sell the rest.
3.) Wait for the price to recover and buy everything back

Even it it falls to 8,000, that is 8x return from last January. There seems to be very short time perspective in cryptos. Everyone came in when it was a rocket expecting it would never fall.
If your going to be involved with individual investments of any sort you need to remove emotion and determine your investment strategy and stick to it.

I think it should hold the $10k support, but I honestly am a little worried it won't.

Good point regarding the 5 prior corrections. However, don't you think Bitcoin is in weaker hands this time around. People who got in for FOMO are the first to leave when prices get this bad or even when they have any sort of bounce off the lows.

I agree with you completely. Using your expression that 'this (has) already happened FIVE TIMES in the past 365' shows that the Bitcoin market is dynamic and can no longer be ignored. The very fact that it is commanding this much attention, debate and transactional participation is a clear indication that it will bounce back again. There's something I see in Bitcoin which defies the current downturn.

frankly speaking i am very happy thats its now below 10k. as soon players getting desperate and see no future, then it means the fruit is ripe and it should be the right time to invest. if you are a long time investor like me, then anything below 10k should be very attractive. do you see the light too?

is it safe to say that blockchain tech. is here to stay no matter what and that once a few more correction we will see the market back in full swing? I'm thankful I try to read books and resources to better my understanding on TA and all things financial instead of reading some of the negativity spread all across the internet.
I lost half the value of my blockfolio. 90% LTC. While my smart is showing good hike and resistance.
This will not be the end of Bitcoin, of course, but we must admit that every time the investment risks are greater.
