Let's face it, Bitcoin has make its part, it brought this awesome revolution we are living in...But it's not the cryptocurrency we are gonna use, it's not made for massive adoption...

I switched out of bitcoin a couple of months as go as I thought it hit the ceiling I may have called it a bit early as bitcoin nearly doubled in price but then the alts that I bought have more than made up for the fiat that I withdrew so technically I still have the same amount of btc now :) + the fiat

Good stuff @cryptobobby, keep up the great work!

What are your thoughts on the growing number of platforms that are starting to gain steam... ETH vs NEO vs ADA vs ICON vs EOS vs ... Do you think there is room in the space for all them to succeed or do you think that in the end only one will survive in the long run? Would love to hear your thoughts!

I'm pretty big on the platforms.. I don't think all of them will succeed, but I think there is a pretty long time frame until we figure out who the 1-2 winners will be.

Right now the obvious winner is Ethereum, but it's running into scalability issues and the window is open for a competitor to gain market share.

@cryptobobby My money is on Cardano cracking the scalability issue with their brainpower...
P.S. Love the show (despite your horrendous taste in liquor #sorrynotsorry ;-) )

Great stuff as always bobby!

Thanks man, appreciate it!

The material is really good,I'm a little invested in ripple I think this coin has a future.

what exchange do you guys go threw

For buying Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) with fiat, I use GDAX. When buying alts, I have been buying ETH from GDAX and transfering it over to Binance. Another option, at least for U.S. users would be to buy with fiat through Gemeni.

I'm still trying to figure out the very basics... Good tips ... This month it has seemed like everything is glittering as gold, but 2018 will be very intriguing to see winners vs. losers.

I agree with you, it's been a crazy month with so many altcoins pumping but 2018 should be a verryyy interesting year

i like your strategies thanks for this article , so much tht one can learn here

Bonne journée :-D

Most important thing in investing is doing proper research, nothing else can replace that. Knowing what kind of currencies are booming, knowing the uses of the currencies etc. If you do a good amount of research you will always make more than anyone who doesn't.

If your investing long term it pays to do the research and read the white papers . Also think in 5 - 10 years time. Will this coin be a gimmick that sounded cool or will it have real utility?

Think of the IT boom in the 2000s. A lot of companies came up with ideas that sounded good at the time but when the crash happened, all the gimmicky companies faded.

Thanks for kind information. Really fantabulous.

Wow, some really intesting strategies I've never knew about! Thumbs up!

@cryptobobby Great post, thankyou, hope to see ya again on Steemit

My strategy is simple. Buy the best and hold.

I'd love for a donation of Bitcoin Cash so I can spoil my Son when he's older so we can afford to go to Disneyland: 15NNdnjM9KZker439drWXABtAUkd83Qqyx

Hey Bobby, I know you don't like people reposting questions, but I was a bit late to the Christmas post, so I'd like to re-ask the relevant questions again (I left the book recommendation there :P). And I won't re-ask again, to not be a pain <3

  1. Where can we hear more talk from you on Steem and Steem Dollars? Their future value, the "pump", how volatile they are, and so on and so forth? I mean, we're here on steemit dot com, so I'm invested and curious :D

  2. I can't have an account on Bittrex, due to them having closed their registration and being a new user here and new to cryptocurrency (and to think my IRC friends were talking of Bitcoin when it was under $100 and I could've joined mining...). I don't like keeping my stuff in SBD due to its volatility, and I'd rather not trade for Bitcoin till I amass a good amount due to fees. Any recommendation of which coin offered on Blocktrades to use? I eyed Ethereum in particular.

I definitely think many new users are in the same situation I am with regards to #2, so definitely worth a video, I'd say. You recommend Binance, but they don't trade in Steem/SBD.

Thank you for the content! New to cryptocurrency, and you're my favourite person to listen to about it.

Edit: Awww, green screen :( I liked the shelves behind you.

Might be valuable to invest in a pop filter for the microphone. In today's episode, the Bs and Ps led to many plosives.

I like to read about the problems a coin is trying to solve before I invest in them. So coins that develop solutions in solving specific problems will be more useful in the future than a coin that simply is designed to be exchanged. Thanks.

So coins that develop solutions in solving specific problems will be more useful in the future than a coin that simply is designed to be exchanged.

I'm curious, how do you see SBD? Not as "intended," necessarily, but in how it actually functions right now?

SBD I think is useful for trading purposes. As a novice in crypto trading I have been observing for a few weeks everyday that people trade tether a lot in hopes to retain the USD value without going through the ups and downs of crypto. SBD was suppose to function the same but demand for it has recently lifted its prices. If SBD is pegged to the USD for good it will likely be a better alternative than tether. That is because the steemit blockchain is the collateral of SBD. There is still a lot of unknowns regarding tether. Like rumors bitfinex created it and uses it to jack up crypto prices. I can not say for sure but a lot of people have done research on it.

For now a lot of users are pulling their SBD and converting them to USDT or other cryptos because of its unnatural higher worth. In the end SBD is suppose to fall back to equal the USD. So people are taking advantage of the situation as we speak. For red fishes like me who does not trade a lot I would go to the "currency market" and exchange my SBD for steem. Note right now you can still get around 2.5 steems for every 1 SBD. Your account value on steemit will increase ~250% for ever SBD you convert into steem. As a die hard follower of steemit why wouldn't I want to do this? Thanks.

It's great that steemers like you make videos like this! Gives us all newbies an insight about Cryptocurrency! So thank you and keep up the great work!

I feel like I have a mountain of stuff that I have to learn! Baby steps...thanks for the info :)

I like to invest in projects that excite me. Usually, that means I'll be looking for a whitepaper that shows a plan to revolutionise a certain part of our daily lives. Of course, I'll then take a look at the road map and the team undertaking the work. I'm not a big fan of simply looking for a quick profit.
