I can honestly say, most of my alts are still doing pretty well. There's a couple that I just got into that are +/- 5%, but nothing major. I think we're over the days where Bitcoin had such a massive effect on the market, I've seen coins happily going up while it's been going down. Don't forget, Bitcoin is only 35% of the market now instead of 90% this time last year.
Bobby, you seem quite negative on Litecoin in general but I think in the next few months your going to see the real potential it actually has. Basic jist is LTC is gunna get lightning network, atomic swaps, MAST and more WAY ahead of Bitcoin (some time in Q1 or early Q2), and with this will position itself as the leader in the micro-transaction space and potentially an up-and-coming ICO platform. Anyways I just wanted to point this out as I tend to find a lot of people have your mindset about Litecoin (Bitcoin test net and nothing more) but I think that mindset may soon be proven to be fairly tunnel vision for the most part. Just my 2 cents.

Haha this is what I have been waiting for. I believe Bitcoin will shoot up and break the $20,000 pricemark for a multitude of reasons including:
Its extremely low portion of crypto market cap
Its pretty stagnant price for the past month
People realizing that their new-found altcoins are worthless in the grand scheme of things, but wanting to avoid withdrawing money out of crypto and paying taxes

Everyone's eye is always on Bitcoin. The alt-coins, at least many, are very interesting, with some being backed by amazing products/services, but I don't believe we've seen a small fraction of what Bitcoin has to offer as an investment. It can't be realized until the Lightning Network becomes usable.
One of the lessons I learned is to always measure alts in terms of BTC, because you have to offload into BTC to get to fiat no matter what (some have ETH pairs too).
So I swapped my portfolio over to satoshis and let's just say today was a bloodbath for the alts in terms of their BTC value.
Still kind of new to crypto and I am feeling the same way. If I refer a crypto based on BTC I get a better view as to which cryptos are benefiting and which are losing. Thanks.
Whenever BTC goes on a rapid bull run, alt coins goes to red. I wouldnt be surprise if BTC goes above 50%. When that happens, that means alts will become on sale again. Waiting for that so I can buy some more coins on sale.
This reminded me Rick Falkvinge, CEO of BitCoin Cash when he said that Bitcoin has no limits (yes, we have all read or heard the same thing, but here he explains it in such a natural way that it fills us with greater hopes).

that's the anticipation, but my guess would be that it won't get as high as it once was due to its transaction fee issue that just hasn't been solved
