that s not something new, well know that cryptocurrencies like bitcoin ..
used by a lot of criminals to hide their transcations trace :)

maybe not yet but as virtual currency becomes increasingly popular and assimilated into mainstream banking it will, especially currencies that transactions cant be traced.

this is not new to me, if we trace back the history of bitcoin, even though this post are still helpful. It made me think about Cannabis coin. i think that it really came from drug pushers of marijuana hmm...
