Crypto-news: India and Lithuania are both moving forward in positive directions with cryptocurrency!

Hi fellow Steemians!

It's been a fairly negative week if you're a cryptocurrency investor, with the price of major coins like Bitcoin falling dramatically. To turn things around, I have some good news! It's being reported that India and Lithuania are two of many countries that are becoming more and more favourable towards cryptocurrency! Let's start with India.

India

While it isn't exactly the best news, it's being reported that India is not in favour of banning cryptocurrency. Better than nothing right? If you remember, Indian Reserve Bank tried to block the use of cryptocurrency by forcing its banks to be vocal about the negatives of crypto. However there have been many arguments surrounding the legitimacy of this action and a debate has been held ever since that attempted ban. New sources are claiming that the government isn't thinking about banning crypto. One step at a time!

Lithuania

On to an even more positive news, Lithuania has created favourable and comprehensive cryptocurrency guidelines which outlines regulations for both crypto and ICOs.

The report covers 4 topics, including regulation, taxation, accounting and Anti-Money Laundering / Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT). The Lithuanian Minister of Finance spoke positively about cryptocurrnecy and acknowledged that the new crypto economy world is here to stay and thus want to "encourage and invite its participants to innovate and create in Lithuania". It's certainly a positive news when a prominent figure gives assurance for investors. Lithuania might even become the next European capital of cryptocurrency!
