My Experience with Cyrptocurrency

I remember looking into cryptocurrency several years ago, and getting excited. I did not dive in feet first; actually, I did not dive in at all. I made excuses and watched from the sidelines. Admittedly, the whole process was intimidating. Blockchain technology and the opportunity it potentially creates, and setting up a mining operation seemed a bit overwhelming.

I made a point in April 2017 to research Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Interesting enough since April Bitcoin has grown in value from approximately (USD = United States Dollar) USD 1,300 to over USD 2,500.

Fortunately, I found various ways to get my feet wet in mining, and am happily mining with plans to set up a mining rig. As I researched the latest news in the cryptocurrency world, I realized currency is not the only use for blockchain technology.

Then I came across Steemit and now I am excited all over again. The potential a platform like Steemit brings to the world is immense. A social platform that is not private, investor or corporate owned, and does not provide a backdoor to law enforcement. It is an amazing concept to reward the participants and content contributors. I am looking forward to learning more about blockchain technology, cryptocurrency and growing with the Steemit community.
