RE: Ripple CEO & Coinbase President On CNBC March 6th - New Partnership ?

Please dont get me wrong, I'm not saying XRP is a scam level coin, but it is not what many of you hype it up to be. It is this kind of stuff that unfortunately is building the cryptocurrency bubble. Creating ridiculous valuations for things which aren't even used.

Ripple is one of the most overvalued cryptocurrencys around. They are a marketing machine. For a cryptocurrency to increase in value it must grow the users which use it for the purpose it was created and also increase number of transactions of those users. unless it does that the supply isn't decreasing and it will crash.

If you research Ripple you will find that all the news articles don't say the partnership will use the Ripple cryptocurrency itself, but instead will use the technology within their own system. This is like Steemit having no users, but Steemit being worth $3. Think about that for a minute.

Exactly how many of the partnerships announced in the news actually utilize the Ripple cryptocurrency?

The worse part is they have not had a single update in their technology since coming out. Also, keep in mind many of the original developers leftand made Stellar Lumen. Ironically, Stellar has had many updates. The technical team went to Stellar, but the business and marketing people are basically what's left with Ripple.

There's a reason why they are just now announcing that they are working on their first ever update. They know that they cannot keep the price pumped up with such old technology that hasn't been updated. The question is did Ripple hire a talented technical team that can innovate or just a team that keeps what exists working. Ripple is a high risk investment, but most people out there continually hype it keeping it heavily overpriced.

This doesn't mean it's worthless, but it's like a tech company that has a product which isn't being used for anything. People are buying the product as an investment with no regard for the fact the technology itself is not being utilized.

Again, do your own research. You will find that XRP has partnerships, but the partnerships are licensing the technology, not actually using XRP to settle stuff. Owning XRP doesn't make you a stock holder, you don't own the company. You don't profit when the company licenses their software to another company in return for direct payment.

You own the token which has it's value based on people using that tolen for it's intended purposes. Other than that owning Ripple means nothing.

Ripple could become a trillion dollar company through licensing their software...but those who hold XRP will not see anything for it other than funding Ripples growth.
