Where to start... In medias Res?

If you are reading this post than hello/hi is the least I can give you fellow stranger. This is my first blog post ever. I mean like anywhere on the internet.

Even though I have been using this instrument for the better part of my middle thirties life i have never used a blog type of medium. Never read others or written my own.

So let's talk a little bit about me. Who I am. Am I interesting to you? I will let you decide.

I am (as stated above) in the middle of my thirties, working at a telecoms/tech company in Brexit Britain living with my Mrs.

I had my first Commodore 64 when I was 7 years old. Computers have been a huge part of my life ever since. I got interested in economics and trading not so much later. Under trading I mean brick and mortar / services trading when I was 16 in a fledgling Eastern European country's internet scene.

As it went at the time I attended University studying Computer sciences - then flunking out due to playing too much Counterstrike. I have tried again in a different subject eventually answering my calling in engineering and economics.

I moved to the UK a few years ago rebooting my life from scratch and had the opportunity to work in different segments of the UK economy and climbing the ladders of corporate success (I am working in telecoms sales strategy).

I first heard about Cryptocurrencies in 2012. A friend of mine bought something called Bitcoin. He is not a millionaire unfortunately (as most of these tales continue). He used his Bitcoins to buy a PC not long after the MtGox crash. (I think now it would count as the most expensive PC ever as he spent roughly 20 btc on it).

I was always interested, but never had an easy way to acquire them (couldn't mine with my laptop). Then came June 2017 and a colleague/friend of mine said "have you heard about Coinbase?" and i signed up and bought my first fraction of Bitcoin for £20... Than Litecoin/than Ethereum than started reading.

This followed on with a crazy rush of whitepaper research/Youtube videos/ subreddits/ blogposts (Andreas Antonopoulos/Data Dash/Doug Polk/The Crypto Investor are a few that shaped my thinking).

I had an epiphany and became an advocate. PPl in our offices now look to me for anything relating to cryptos... I have a boss who calls me "Krypto" jokingly (you know Superman's dog). Being a nerd (which I have always been) suddenly became interesting for everyone else.

Now that we set out who I am and what I do, I hope you will join on this journey where i try to express my thoughts and feelings of the current affairs of my world.

What can you expect?

Sometimes ramblings, sometimes arguments with myself, sometimes well researched articles or just a happy "where is my life update".

I play Games (pcmasterrace all the way). I may write about those.

I am actively interested in the world of global politics and economics.

I am still learning the world of Cryptocurrencies and trading. I am not going to advise anyone to buy anything. You definitely won't see TA from me. (i don't believe in this more than reading coffee beans)

Some might interest you some might not. But that is fine.

I am doing this to help me structure my thoughts. You are just peeking through a window getting a glimpse of my "in progress" state :) but please provide your critique/ or advise be it positive or negative.
