Exclusive: Crypto ‘Utopia’ To Rise in New Mexico

US realtor Tim Schwartz is a firm believer that cryptocurrencies are the future of money. So strong is his conviction that he wants to build a utopian community for like-minded people. Called Inspire Taos, this completely off-the-grid tiny house RV park in New Mexico will be a place where everybody will conduct transactions in digital currencies.

Transactions with cryptocurrencies will be rewarded to encourage visitors to use digital money, but fiat currencies will still be accepted within Inspire Taos.

Schwartz told Cryptovest:

“I will be making it so people can pay for their short accommodations at the RV park with crypto and even will be giving them a discount if they do so.”

Taoship community
True to his passion for cryptocurrency, Schwartz said he would only accept digital currencies in the sale of his Hollywood Hills property. All proceeds be invested in the development of Inspire Taos, an RV park that “embraces both community and the cryptocurrency revolution.”

He clarified that the park would only accept short-term accommodation and people would not be buying units, only parking their tiny homes or RVs.

“That’s where the crypto transactions would come from. We will use systems like Bitpay or Coinpayments for people to use when they book,” he said.

Schwartz described his dream crypto community as featuring temporary off-grid hookups for RVs, tiny homes, and trailers. His plans include spots for a new-age strip mall to accommodate food trucks and other mobile-based business, a 1,600 sq ft Taoship community space with communal kitchens, bathrooms, a stage, a workspace, and a live/work program in support of the local homeless.

He said the community is expected to be operational in spring 2019.

Off-grid operations
Because the park will be completely off-grid, energy would be sourced from solar power, while water sources will be a mix of rainwater catchment and water from the atmosphere.

“I am also looking into systems to convert trash into clean energy as well,” he said, adding that his team is still looking into other options for all of the off-grid capabilities.
