ETHER PARTY BETA First Look! Creat Your Own ETHEREUM Smart Contracts!

You may have heard about EtherParty, a new blockchain startup and ICO which is currently in its final week of crowdsale. You can find the website here: https://etherparty.io/

What EtherParty aims to do is simplify the creation of smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain, making this type of contract accessible and usable to any person without programming knowledge. Much like Wix is to website creation, EtherParty will provide a similar service for smart contracts.

So I signed up for the BETA test phase as I am already a small investor in their crowdfund project and I wanted to see how the system works for myself. Bear in mind I do dabble in programming and so I have a little knowledge on how to create tokens on the Ethereum platform.

First off the design is very clean and simple so it won't deter anyone from using it, even the most Luddite among the internet community will feel at home here.

When you click on create contract you are presented with several options, only three of them are currently available for Beta Testing but more will be coming soon. The available ones are to create a token, start a crowdfund and to start an escrow contract (presumably for goods or services provided).

Creating a token is easy and the interface is intuitive. No programming knowledge of any kind is required here. The EtherParty FUEL Token is used for all transactions you perform through the EtherParty interface.

I called my token BetaCoin and set the decimals at 2 places for 100,000,000 total supply of tokens. I will stop here to say creating your own ERC-20 token is a fairly easy process in itself but this is much quicker and less daunting if you don't use Solidity etc.

Creating a crowdfunding ICO was just as easy, a few clicks to sort out token metrics and the crowdsale starts, I used metamask to send in dummy ETH contributions and it works perfectly. Plenty of vids too that walk you through the process so you could do this very easily indeed.

All your transaction history and tokens can be easily monitored through the dashboard.

The escrow contracts are the only other feature working on Beta at the moment and they are simple to use. Fill in the details and the contract is created.

Overall it is a good start and adds to investor confidence. I am pleased to see an actual product being offered before the ICO ends (in 5 days time as I type) as far too many companies are launching on promises rather than products. With more features ready to be added EtherParty's simplicity of use and contract creation will hopefully bring this technology to the masses.

If you haven't heard of EtherParty here is a video below that explains what they are all about.
