Serves me right for going against GRC. Saw some comments that GRC is less volatile, well, that is not entirely correct, it was just already very screwed in last 2 weeks, the master market correction, problems with wallet, issues with forking, poloniex removing withdrawals/deposits... I should have recognized that it hit the bottom, and 2 days ago it was probably the worst contestant, but it suddenly jumped back up when BTC rose and wallet issues got fixed.

Frankly, I still have problems to sincronize my grc wallet, what should I do?
I uninstalled it completely and then installed new version from scratch. You have to manually delete a lot of files. Here is the link to a guide http://wiki.gridcoin.us/Wallet_upgrade . Then you have to re-download all blocks and let it sync. Takes about 3-4 hours.
Good luck, I was really pissed by the end of it.
Some of tips not covered in the guide:
-if downloading blocks gets stuck at 99%, don't worry, it's normal, just tough it out.
Oh shit!!!! what can I do with all the Gridcoins I have there, can I transfer them to another place or what?
By the way, I have Linux not Windows :-(
http://wiki.gridcoin.us/Linux_guide this is the best guide I could find:( As for transfer, no you can not until you are synced and on the right chain.
I feel for you, your problems are magnified by a harder interface. You could try to just rebuild block chain and download blocks and try to sync without installing the new version, see if it will get you on the right chain, Then transfer to some exchange or another wallet, like Bitshares or BISQUE. But the last update was mandatory and I am not convinced that you can join the network without it. If nothing works, ask on reddit, there are people who know more than me, especially when it comes to LINUX.
thx!!! Good work man! It is really strange because till now the wallet has been automatically updated every time there were an upgrade...
I will try to rebuild manually downloading the blocks file...
Just to make tings clear, I know very little about Linux client. I know that windows client needs to be updated manually and in-client update command does not work, maybe Linux does and you are already updated. If so, then the rebuild+download+syncing should do the trick. Check the version, you should be 3.7.0 or 3.7.7, if it is, you are updated.
P.S. No need to up-vote me every time, I like to help, and many other people deserve your up-vote at higher power as well;)
