Ex England, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool footballer Michael Owen is moving into crypto by launching his very own cryptocurrency called the 'Owen coin'. The former striker announced his investment into the Singapore based (GCOX) Global Crypto Offering Exchange.
At the unveiling in Singapore, Owen said that his new cryptocurrency will allow investors to buy merchandise like training videos, donate to charity and even interact with himself via video link. Owen, now a prominent businessesman, having bought into racehorses and sporting merchandising, is said to be a big fan of cryptocurrency in general, and joins a list of celebrities like Nas, Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent, who are all big proponents of crypto. It remains to be seen whether Owen coin will be a success but one thing is for sure, it won't be short of a pump or two and will get its fair share of promotion. I'd suggest getting in early if you are looking at investing in this coin.

Nice article! It seems like celebrity coins are the future, and I'm sure people would love to buy them with all the premiums they provide.
I definitely agree with you on this one. I feel like if anyone makes a platform that allows celebrities to easily launch ICOs for their own tokens, it will bring a flood of new people into the cryptocurrency space.
I'm definitely upvoting and following you!

Thanks @shredz I will follow back. I definitely feel that this is all great promotion for cryptocurrencies and ICO's. If we are to make the crypto world mainstream and boost our portfolio's we will need celebrity 'pumpsters' on board 😁
