Good evening dear steemians!
OpenLedger is a Decentralized Exchange, They have their own Cryptocurrency BTS (Bitshares) and full support to SBD and Steem.
Particularly I would say It is an amazing exchange, with a really huge potential, With it you are the owner of your private keys, so as far as I know, differently from centralized exchanges they cannot simple control your wallet as they wish. like poloniex use to do disabling Steem and SBD wallet all the time.
The only cons I would say this exchange still have is that it is not exactly the example of a friendly user interface, it took me a time to understand how does it works, and I believe the majority are not really interested to spend some time on learning how to use something diff like that.
I see that as the Linux System, it have the benefit of "decentralized" however just few regular people decide to stand up and start using it, even if it is better on hundred of things than Windows or Apple.
Anyway, this news about they are releasing a card sounds really remarkable to me. first of all this is the first "exchange credit card" I heard about, it is from a decentralized exchange which for me adds even more points to it, and they work with steem. So thinking about this I believe this could be our first steep toward a Steem/SBD Card.
on their site they say:
Stablecoins (SmartCoins) including bitUSD, bitEUR, bitGBP, and Rubles - plus other OpenLedger tokens such as OBITS, BTC, and ETH, to purchase items anywhere that accepts international payment cards.
i Don't really know if they consider Steem and SBD stable coins, however they'l believe they could be considered smart with the SMT release.
Right now we can only subscribe our email in order to get any news about it.
I wonder how many amazing things are going to happening to crypto this year, this is all very exciting! =D
