Basically it's an application based on Ethereum Platform and it's used as a means of payment to businesses and or people, mainly in the Asian market. If you want to receive fiat money I believe it would have an address similar to how you would exchange crypto from wallet to wallet. Alternatively until it becomes fully mainstream you can access OMG tokens through Coin Market Cap and they are fully tradeable at Bitrex and Bitfinex :)

OK cool cool. So basically at this moment, OMG still needs to be cashed out via an exchange until a better option comes about in the future?

At the moment one can either use a bitcoin/altcoin ATM or get ahold of one of those VISA debit cards one can load bitcoins/altcoins in and withdraw cash from any 'normal' ATM...unless he lives in the US where they're not allowed, it seems.
