An investor has had their funds locked permanently in Binance.
Reddit user BeanThe5th detailed the process which led to his digital assets, worth over $50,000 being locked and inaccessible. A hacker seized his SIM card and Microsoft Hotmail accounts, which meant that they could open support tickets on Binance and proceed to siphon funds off. When the legitimate owner of the assets reached out to Microsoft and Binance to lock the accounts, the Hotmail address was suspended forever, and pleas to Binance to use another email address fell on deaf ears.
The only way that this user will ever get back their funds would be if Binance got personally involved in the case, so just I wanted to say always keep your fund in your private wallet instead of any centralise exchange that's it for today if you found this help leave a Upvote.
