GLOBAL BLOCK SHIPPING: FIRST DISPLAY PLATFORM CONTAINER

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago

Introduction

Maersk global shipping giant wants to wrap the world in blockchain.

With access to shared and trusted transaction records, Maersk executives say, world shipping companies will save money and can compete better on improved services. And the company has developed its technology using Fabric software donated by IBM to the open-source Linux Foundation, to do just that.

But one roadblock still exists: finding ways to sell a collaborative system to a group of competitors.

So Maersk and IBM based in Denmark have decided that by turning the project into a stand-alone entity, they may have more success in attracting Maersk competitors to a solution.

Announced today, the unnamed joint venture is awaiting final regulatory approval, but the idea is that a comprehensive (still established) advisory board will help ensure transparency and level of play among the participants.

However, unlike a common startup situation, the technology behind this effort has been extensively tested, with pilot users including some of the largest companies in the world.

DuPont, Dow Chemical and food packaging and Tetra Pak processors have experimented with early versions of the platform. In addition, special agents in the Netherlands and the United States, and ports in Rotterdam and Houston all share.

According to the CEO of the joint venture, Michael White, a new entity is very important considering the various potential competing parties are involved.

The global container shipping platform based in Copenhagen, Blockshipping has announced public token sales on May 14, 2018 after a very successful pre-sale sale. Due to the international enthusiasm for the project, the company has received private funding from institutional investors, including Danish Maritime Fund.

Upgraded long-awaited Blockchain from Shipping Container

About 60% of the world's marine trade is located in the cruise shipping industry, making it one of the most valuable modern industries for international trade and commerce. However, several decades of challenges continue, with senders facing overcapacity, low transport rates, increased security threats and environmental legislation.

Blockshipping is at the center of creating a Global Shared Container Platform (GSCP), which proposes to be the first real-time registry for 27 million container shipments globally, as well as a platform to unify all container shipping stakeholders to enable efficient transactions related to container handling across world.

Blockshipping estimates that better container handling and substantial reductions in global carbon emissions could save the industry $ 5.7 billion annually.

International Enthusiasm for Blockshipping

Since the announcement of the first token sale in early March, the GSCP project has received tremendous support and recognition from the crypto community and blockchain community. Its token sales have been perfectly scored by leading ranking sites like TrackICO, Wiser ICO, and ICO Calendar, while receiving high scores from people like ICO Street, ICO Marks, ICO Bench, ICO Token News and Foundico. It was also awarded as "Best ICO - category: Transportation & Logistics" by ICO Stock24.

Although new developments are being published recently, awareness about Blockshipping and token sales to come is rooted all over the world. Appearing in Northern Europe in early March, project-related news spread around the world through over 100 articles about GSCP published and read in various crypto media outlets, fintech channels, as well as wider shipping and business media.

Its support base also swelled rapidly, registering more than 8,000 Telegram members (now approaching 10,000), 7,600 followers on Twitter and tens of thousands of views and sharing stories in Media, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

And now, even before the sale of public tokens, the shipping industry itself has approached Blockshipping with a real interest, resulting in the announcement of its first client.

Blockshipping CEO Peter Ludvigsen noted that the shipping industry has a conservative reputation but reacts positively to the news about Blockshipping, contrary to traditional denials. He commented that positive dialogue with key players from all industry sectors continues to happen.

Sales Token Blockshipping

Supporters can now participate in the sale of Blockshipping public tokens that open on May 14, 2018, after first registering and completing the KYC procedures. Blockchipping blockchain models use two different tokens during a sale: Container Platform Token (CPT), which is an internal utility token, and Container Crypto Coin (CCC), which is an external revenue-sharing token.

The token sale participant can purchase the CCC token from May 14, 2018 (2:00 CET) using the main cryptocurrency Bitcoin and Ethereum, or fiat (via bank transfer (USD, EUR, DKK), and debit / credit cards.
