Crypto investment tips for the end of august 2017

in #cryptocurrencies7 years ago (edited)

Hi guys,

So what are the coins/tokens we should invest in to get a high return in the next year?

I'll give you my personal opinion and will try to elaborate a bit on why i have chosen these.

NEO/GAS

Why NEO? NEO is china's take on smart contracts. Much like Ethereum although a bit different.
NEO unlike Ethereum is a share and each NEO provides you with GAS.
When you have NEO in your own wallet then it will produce gas over a year.

For example if you hold 100 NEO (1 NEO worth +- 36$ today) it will provide you with 11 GAS over the duration of 1 year.

Holding NEO will yield a result of more then 7% on a yearly basis. In this case it's about 242$ when you hold only 100 NEO.

As NEO will probably go to 100$ or more, this is an excellent investment for the future.

You can make your own calculations on = https://neotogas.com

TENX

Having all those coins and assets is really nice, however we would like to spend some of our coins/assets. So here is where TenX comes along. TenX makes your coins spendable via smart contracts based upon the Ethereum blockchain.

***Here is a video on how it exactly works. ***

If you take into account that you get rewards as a token holder and as a user then this simply is a no brainer to invest in.

OmiseGo

OmiseGo markets itself as banking for the unbanked. OmiseGO is a wallet with the help of which people are able to cash in and cash out even if they don’t have a bank account. So how do you earn something with OmiseGO?
OmiseGo is POS. Proof of stake. This means that when you hold OmiseGo tokens they will yield you returns much like Gas for Neo.
Exact numbers aren't yet available just some speculation on this redit thread :

DeepOnion

This one is a special one. Deep Onion is a hybrid cryptocurrency that uses proof of stake (PoS) and the X13 proof of work (PoW) algorithm. It is natively integrated with the TOR network and ALL connections are made over the TOR network.
This will make it the de facto privacy coin.
It's currently being airdropped for free on the bitcointalk forum if you comply to some rules.
You can apply on this link : https://deeponion.org/apply.php

Deep Onion is currently no longer accepting new applicants but they should open up soon again.

The community behind this Coin is HUGE... They almost have the biggest thread on bitcointalk and a lot of community involvement.

The thread can be found here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2006010.0

If you can't apply to the airdrop, you can try to get some free DeepOnions on the official forum -> https://deeponion.org/community/

Although as this is a new coin i expect it to go x50 very soon. Currently you can buy them on http://novaexchange.com

XtraBytes

Now on to the last one of my list. XtraBytes has been on my radar for quite some time. They are building a whole new way of handling transactions called POS (proof of signature). Imho this can be the next ETH/NEO. Why ?
Let me elaborate a bit on this.
Xtrabytes platform is very scalable, secure and will allow any code to run on top of it.
Much like smart contracts on Eth and NEO, Xtrabytes will do the same, but with a twist.
As far as i understand it's code language agnostic, you will be able to run perl, c++, C#, and so on.
Decentralized applications can just plugin to the XtraBytes blockchain and will no longer need ICO's.
The applications running on it will simply die or live according to their usage and a voting process.

The value of 1 XBY is extremely low for the moment and can easilly go X100 or even more imho.

More info on Xtrabytes can be found on https://www.xtrabytes.global (work in progress) or on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1864397.msg21005819#msg21005819
