Several years ago, about five years ago, between the sea of obligations and the routine of my life, I discovered DADA as a breathe at my days without knowing that this would be one of my favorite spaces in this world. To sum up a lot: DADA is a platform in which users from all over the world communicate through drawings beyond their native languages or your knowledges in others idioms. The conversation is visual in a cosmopolitan and rich virtual space where personal visions, feelings and experiences can be shared with others and exchanged of all kinds of ideas that make a very rich and comforting cultural / emotional exchange, only through strokes ... the artistic resulting: work of art is collective, a beautiful and captivating exquisite corpse. At that time DADA was a Facebook app that eventually became independent on its own platform: DADA.nyc at first and DADA.art today (it sounds easy to summarize quickly and spend so many years of hard work in so few lines but little by little, publication after publication, you will get an idea of the long road traveled)

Wait a minute, first, before proceeding we must to resolve a very important point here: a lot of you will know about what I'm speaking here when I speak of "cryptoart", about the importance that have this art revolution, but in case that you don't know I let you this entry of other blog by WOCA colleague for here ...
https://medium.com/swlh/what-the-heck-is-cryptoart-41f8af965e92

... and this, that is an interesting entry (in three parts) in DADA BLOG in case that our DADA community and our economic / social / cultural / human vision, intrigue you:

So okay, now, if you read that old article, you will can imagine part of this story 😊

As I was telling you : I was drawing in DADA when my career as a crypto artist began without thinking or looking for it, it simply came as a gift from life with DADA like Fairy Godmother... all my life I drew, painted, wrote, took photos, etc, with a sense of urgency rather than ego or profession, to exorcise what was urgent in my soul (it is in this same Blog where I will be uploading my interests, ideas and personal poetry, the "why" I make art), in this sense, my question remains if we seek art out of necessity or if art is some kind of energy / entity that it flows between us and simply chooses us as a channel, we are the ones who make our life a work of art or is it that art is our internal compass...are we the ones who make our life a work of art, or is it that art is our internal compass...? We don't know for sure. I'll dedicate some future post to it.

So, It was the year 2017, I was doing my art out of personal necessity, connecting with people from all over the world from that kind of sensitivity and making great friends, when an email from Bea Ramos reached my email box telling me about: Blockchain, the NFTs, the project and the vision of DADA about a fair ecosystem based on the values of collaboration and contribution to the community... I remember that in that time all was very confused, the whole blockchain world was starting, it was all experimentation (it still is), but the amount of information (and the lack of it since possibilities were still being explored) was overwhelming! Nevertheless, I adored her proposal and was really fascinated by her idea, so I gived her my OK for participate in the first launch of a DADA collection in the market: Today I have the big honor to be part and present you, in the imagen that you can see above this page, my dear "Creep and Weirdos"!!! my first step i the Crypto Art world. You can to found more information about that collection in the next link, I have the enormeus glad of tell you that we are part of the Crypto Art history ❤️

With this first step beggin came the surprises to me! I love the two drawings of my autorship that curators choosed for sell in this collection.
In this moment I don't remember exactly what is the name with they named my drawings, this happen only just because in DADA all is about collaboration and conversations where my drawing is only one part of the total convo which have you own name (for me these drawings are called "the Drow witch" and "the wild skull", but the name in market is for surely other)

I'll love to raccont you a little about how is that this two drawings born... curiously, both drawings are responses to Erick Sanchez' s convesations, a cartoonist from Cancun whose style I find fascinating.

"The Drow witch"

We named as "Talking to Death" to the present conversation. What you can see here is an extract from it.
The death drawn by Erick Sánchez suggested a curious, inquisitive look to me; far from showing himself how a frightening being could infer the joy in his features, perhaps because of an encounter, I can read a strange approach of another being that was missing in the image, perhaps of another nature ... there, next to that death, had have to exist someone disturbing his world. Thus, as a product of a deep call from that virtual space, the drow witch was born.
The connection of glances between the characters says it all.

"The Wild Skull"

when I saw this conversation en Black and White and this magnificents drawings and fully of movement, with all this INK sytile realized with real dedication and achieved perfectly (the tools in DADA are really very simple and all creation is question of pasion, of love, of personal donation) I was feel enchanted for it. In that precisely moment I was hearing the "Flow"song by Shawn James and was instant, while looking at Erick's drawing, that I remembered this drawing in his drum: a skull of a feline (probably a puma, an animal that here, in my dear patagonia, is one of the most respectable) This thought was an automatic trigger of inspiration, my idea then was to continue the conversation by enhancing the concept of movement and trying to harmonize with the style, putting a focus on flow; I guess I couldn't help but think from the beginning that this "flow" had to be related to life itself, with the interconnected life and death cycles, in motion ... that's how it was born "The Wild Skull"

The path from that first participation to here has been interesting, beautiful, educational, magical and truly transcendental for me.

In recent years I have participated in:

  • A DADA collaboration with Cryptokitties.
  • Experimenting with new auction models with live performance in Detroit (DADA)
  • Drawing jam session in PRAGUE (DADA)
  • Free drawing live experience event, online, to the rhythm of the music of an electronic artist.
  • artwork "Soul in the machine" with DADACOLLECTIVE.
  • Live drawing. DADA's performance at TATE MODERN LONDON
  • Present and future DADA project
  • Draw in MOCDA "Renaicence"
  • Speaker representing of DADA in Criptopatagonia.
  • A Time Square Exhibition of conversations in giant displays in the street.
  • A participation in the exploration and personal experience with art generator: DADAGAN
  • An a benefit event for homeless kittens at Cryptovoxel.

  • "Frida Exposition" by Stellabelle Museum, in Criptovoxel
  • ETH DENVER 2021... that will be next week: http://artproject.io/index.html
  • and more other projects and proposals are in way!!!

As you may notice I love making art. I owe my life to art. Art is both a philosophy and a way of life for me, and I have found in crypto art the perfect communion between my values, my desires, my efforts, my way of experiencing the world and being able to share them openly with others.

Speaking personally about DADA community, the fact of sharing a vision and personal values for me are the strength of everything, its simple: the art for the art, and the community is everything. We are all the same there, there are no stars, influencers or egos. There is no art better than another, simply "art". Each expression is free and each reply a gift, so the conversations become fluctuating works of a spontaneous nature that surprise us as much as they fill our soul, either because someone whose art we admire participated in our conversation, or for the unexpected path in the discourses of artists in the visual conversation. DADA is pure empathy, creativity, magic, a hug in the distance, that kind of sensitivity that we have lost so much as humanity and with which we so much need to reconnect. Personally I feel that DADA is a real ecosystem for all artists and lovers of the human encounter, they are all about the collaborate, be in harmony and in balance with each other.

We all dream of living from what we love, I love art ... I would love to be able to live from it but I feel that to achieve it I cannot wait for the economy of the platform that I falling in love to start working (Here the link if you are interested in know more about this: https://powerdada.medium.com/the-invisible-economy-db46897d4f07) but self-branding or self promotion in this competitive world that to seek the excessive profit above all else, its gone a madness!!! Selling a work in the ocean of NTFs is extremely difficult if you haven't done your self-promotion as an artist or you prefer a low profile, and as if that were not enough the cost is very high!!! gas, for countries like mine (Argentina) represents an acute pain that can end in a heart attack, is not joke... and only to publish our work and with high chances that nobody will buy from us.

So, If you are a collector and like my work please search my personal work in the virtual space and support my art... I will appreciate this forever!!!!🙏😊💞

I hope you liked this post and see you in the next post !!!
BIG HUG from the south of globe.

  • NOTE: Excuse my awful english!!! hahah 😅🤗❤️
