At the height of the crypto mania in 2021, the Youtube crypto channels hit 4 million viewers a day (right-hand y-axis).
But despite Bitcoin's price having recovered to the $48,000 to $70,000 range, the crypto channels are only getting 1 million viewers a day at the moment.
Interest from ordinary people (so-called "retail" investors) won't revive till bitcoin breaks above $70,000.
But that won't happen till bag holders who bought in 2021 at $65,000 to $69,000 have finished selling. It's their sales as bitcoin nears $70,000 that is preventing a breakout. We've got a full summer of selling to go before the bags are emptied.
