Well, only the people who know nothing about Bitcoin were calling it anonimous. And you know, nothing will change . Everybody knew NAS is spying on any person on the internet. I think the only interesting question if NAS learnt to hack currencies like Monero or not yet.
As for Russia, news are mostly negative here. Ministry of finance was a 'bull" pushing to legalise and central bank a "bear" pushing to prohibit everything. Central bank wins the day. Now they want to prohibit exchanging anything but ICO tokens to fiat i.e. prohibiting crypto exchanges. And they want to make it illegal to exchange bitcoin for fiat and put groups of people to prison for 4 years for organising such exchange.
If they are able to monitor bitcoin globally, it means it's no longer decentralized. Bitcoin already has a ledger of its transactions, so what's the use of monitoring it again? Do who is go to monitor it anyway?
In short, no bad news at all.
It will be good for cryptocurrency not to be only linked to criminal activities.
I, still, do feel that regulations should be introduced for ICO, cause this is were the mist scams are! That’s the main reason why I do stay away from them!
I would appreciate if the market goes sideways until Friday. Why it is payday then, and I do want to invest the last batch of fiat money into it before the bull run starts!
I was just on CNBC (I know, shame on me) and noticed another hit piece comparing bitcoin to the dotcom era bust...I didn't bother to even click the headline and check the date on it but it was right up near the top of their list of "stories". The FUD continues despite the bounce in price...dead cat bounce or not.
Meanwhile, it's nice to know that skynet...I mean the NSA is only going after people using crypto for purposes on the wrong side of the law. Still some bone-chilling stuff though. Edward Snowden is one a nothing short of a hero for exposing that bunch and what they're doing / what they're capable of.
It's known that NSA and even some companies in European Union have been working on global deanonymisation of BTC for a few years already - they have working prototypes for targetted deanonymisation, just need to let it work more globally. Snowden will just help spread this knowledge, which is always good.
And the "images in blockchain" thing is very old, so maybe that's why it isn't gaining traction anymore. There isn't too many people looking for pics in blockchain anyway.
Waking up in the morning with my gf nearby, sunshine outside and a green sea of cryptocurrencies on the mobile phone is what I like to start a wonderful day. Wish you all the best dear HODLers :)

It is strange that NSA was worried about cryptos in March 2013. At that time very few people knew what bitcoin meaned.
Yes, and I wonder why Snowden is releasing his info now and not earlier in 2017 when the BTC hype began?
