qoinpro.com is a scam?

in #crypto7 years ago

A friend of mine sent me a link today on telegram that I should signup with www.qoinpro.com. I click on the link he gave me and I saw the website was giving much crypto-coin for free than expected, so I decided to investigate if it is a scam.

I found this message on reddit and I quote:

I had opened a Qoinpro account on user id 'intutkri2' around six months back

I had received many promotional emails from support@qoinpro.com regarding the deposit of BTC for claiming BCH and BTG.

***At last, I think I had fallen prey to their emails and deposited some amount of BTC to claim my BCH and BTG and that's it after that I never received a promotional mail from them after the deposit

***I had sent many BCH and BTG claim mails to support@qoinpro.com and wouter@qonpro.com and contacted them on email, Twitter and Telegram many times but no reply or response from them.

***I had submitted support tickets also at support.qoinpro.com under user id 'intutkri2' but they were closed without any proper resolution

***After checking my qoinpro BTC address 1K5JDqh7LVWEV1uvmQhbdKBdyN86iTZWfm on blockchain it is showing zero balance whereas the amount is supposed to be X BTC and there were also many transactions which I had not carried out. Maybe they are carrying out insider trading with the BTC deposited bt people like me and generating profits for themselves.

***I had withdrawn X amount of BTC from my Qoinpro (user; intutkri2) BTC address 1K5JDqh7LVWEV1uvmQhbdKBdyN86iTZWfm to my personal BTC address 154UWpunPRyVT9LPfgrdcQKWj6276rrnMB but till now I had not received it.

***Websites: www.qoinpro.com and www.vdschagt.com (is never working)

***Company Office Address: QoinPro Limited 1206, Eastern Commercial Centre 397 Hennessy Road - Wan Chai Hong Kong S.A.R.

*******Will update this post once I receive a positive reply from Qoinpro or Mr Wouter

***So, Dear Friends! Please decide whether this is scam or legitimate on your own diligence. I had put down my own genuine experiences with Qoinpro.

From the website some people said they were paid finally after 5months of asking for their money while some say they didn't get their money. While researching I found an article on steemit that promoted the website and most of the people after months of not receiving their money commented on the article and I haven't seen another article review about the site warning people to avoid the site.

Another article I read wrote the company is legit but their services are not for people are not getting paid. A quote from the site:

While the main pitch of the site may seem to be too-good-to-be-true at first glance, at a closer look, it is not really that. There is no cloud mining, HYIP or pyramid scheming involved, and it doesn’t look like these guys are out to steal people’s money.

The QoinPro site does feature an About Us section, which offers plenty of information on the company and people behind the operation.

Based in Hong Kong, QoinPro Ltd. has been launched on February 21, 2014. The company address is 1206, Eastern Commercial Centre, 397 Hennessy Road – Wan Chai, Hong Kong S.A.R. QoinPro Ltd. is in fact registered in Hong Kong, under the business registration number 62774936-000-02-14-0. The Managing Director of the operation is Wouter S. van der Schagt, who had founded a couple of webhosting companies in the Netherlands and Hong Kong, before QoinPro.

First registered in January 2014, the qoinpro.com domain name does indeed belong to Wouter S. van der Schagt, and the registrant information is public. The global Alexa rank of the site was 94,556 at the time of writing, which makes it surprisingly popular indeed, especially in Nigeria, the US, India, Russia, and Brazil among other countries. The authority rank of the domain is 35/100 and it doesn’t seem to have a spam score attached.

My conclusion is this: The company operation is not a scam and it has its own classic sense of the concept. It #may not actively steal people’s money but it is useless as some have speculated, I believe their ploy is nothing more than an intricate to collect email addresses from those involved in the cryptocurrency industry. So if you indent to signup for a free account with them please don't deposit your money into their wallet for you #may not get your money back.

This is my opinion about qoinpro. If you have any update on it and if anyone has received their free money from them without stress of tweeting them or begging them through emails for their money. Comment and let us learn from your experience.

I saw a post on steemit on qoinpro also and it was written by @blockchainttmft. but I haven't seen updates about this from him and other people are promoting this site on steemit. Is it actually working?

@cheetah, that is a false information. The article on that link you put there is quoted on the article I wrote. The write-up isn't copied from anywhere except I wrote them. I may have forgotten to put the link on the last quote doesn't mean my article is a copy.

I am in the same position.

@dado13btc, you commented on @blockchainttmft post that you will let us know if you get your money. Did you get paid?

@dimitriosthess, @besold, @folkoff, @dado13btc, you joined seven months ago. Have you gotten paid by qoinpro? I want to know if it is a scam as stated in this article or maybe the writer was just giving his opinion based on what he read online. If it is genuine we will all be glad and love to make free money at least.
