Whilst investigating the death of a local software engineer, a lucrative investigator uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-blessed, revolutionary technology circulating throughout planet Earth called a blockchain. As soon as anyone uses this blockchain, technologies have less than a single era left to live.
For a time, the doomed few appear to be ordinary during day to day life, but when examined closely, they look as if they've been given a number. Once marked, a cumbersome thrall is in place.
The people get a hold of this blockchain, believing the superstitions. A collage of images flash into their minds: a cursed government balancing on a fine moral scale, an old newspaper headline about a gruesome accident, a hooded nation ranting about hidden technology located in an ever changing ether.
When the government notices the blockchains properties, they realize that for them this revolutionary blockchain is a true curse and they uncover with it ushering advocates called cryptocurrencies.
As cryptocurrencies are examined by the people, they are willingly submitted to the blockchain. They then also find that a vision flashes before them: A cursed government balancing on a fine scale; particularly chilling. Then, cryptocurrencies also join the queue for a swift, supernatural resolution to a long awaited revolution.
While being backed by the blockchain, cryptocurrencies along with the people now pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search to reveal this hooded nation. Will they meet a new age before their time is up?!
