If you focus on one you lose the other, due to challenges of infrastructure In different regions not all can meet benchmarks, and you lose investor interests due to the lack of technical knowledge to set up a node.
If you sacrifice scale and reliability for decentralisation in one shot, you will not able to onboard big players due to confidence issues.
On the other hand if you scale without a level of decentralisation then your no longer a web3 project.
In my opinion if a couple of titan nodes are run by lumen and other community based servers won't affect the flux decentralised eco system it will increase confidence.
Moving onwards flux has to innovate towards decentralisation, and that's what I can see, flux keeps building.
Decentralisation is a process. For me flux is one of the most if not the most decentralised project with 12,000 (self hosted and vps hosted) nodes up and running if you compare it to other projects.
Balance is of utmost importance.
