Zk-Starks??? New Take on Zcash Tech

The acronym zk-SNARK stands for “Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge,” and refers to a proof construction where one can prove possession of certain information, e.g. a secret key, without revealing that information, and without any interaction between the prover and verifier.

Problem is the setup, the need for masterkeys ,

The obvious way to construct SNARK public parameters is just to have someone generate a public/private keypair, similar to an ECDSA keypair [*], and then destroy the private key, however anyone who gets a copy of it can use it to counterfeit money. (However, it cannot violate any user’s privacy — the privacy of transactions is not at risk from this.)

and as Ben-Sasson said:

"There's going to be a huge incentive for governments and central organizations to try a put their hands on this key that will allow them to write a cheque for any amount … with increased value there is increased incentive to attack."

This is what ZK-Starks (Succinct Transparent ARgument of Knowledge) aims to solve;

Monero will be looking to integrate the tech if and when its usable for sidechains which they were originally looking into ZK-Snark but the problem was, you guested it :) masterkeys ,

this could be time to buy some Monero or mine while is still profitable, however I think any chain that will use STARK is the one to support and invest in.
