Well I finally decided to give crypto mining a try. I still don't fully understand all the basics, but MinerGate seemed simple enough to get into. I have 2 fairly new computers with decent graphics cards and only one gets used regularly, for a few hours a day. My question to the steemit community is, what is the best and easiest coin to mine right now? I am using the smart mine function but it's looking like I'll be lucky to earn a few cents a day with one computer running. I'm sure I don't have things set up right since I can't use my graphics card to mine most coins. This brings up another question, is there even any point in mining with the setup I have? I'm not concerned about power usage outweighing the profit, since I'm doing this mostly for fun and to learn. Although it would be nice to get some actual crypto without spending my "real" money from computers that are otherwise doing nothing. Plus it's still a little chilly in my place so the extra heat from the CPU's will be welcome for now. Let me know if you have any good tips for a beginner miner!

@anothervoice is now following you. I don't want to miss your mining reports. Good Luck!

I would recommend you to try NiceHash, Much higher profit and is also simple to use :)

I'll check it out, thanks!

Minergate is great for Monero. I'm also using ccminer to mine Digibyte and NiceHash for Ethereum. I'm now following you.
