Is Steemit the future of blogging or just a quick way to hype crypto?

I have been here a very short while now (less than a month) and really like the look and feel of the place, I just cant shake the feeling that this place is centred around crypto a little too much for its own good.

I was hoping to see a cross between Reddit and Tumblr, with a focus on creative individual blogs. Yet so far this entire place seems like its sole reason to exist is to shill your favourite coins. I am still going to be watching this place closely and hope to witness a beautiful resurgence in the quality of blog posts but until that time here is my top 3 crypto picks for 100% + growth 2018

District0x is a network of decentralized markets and communities. Powered by Ethereum, Aragon, and IPFS.

The tokens are used for voting(via staking) in district0x DApps. with a current price of £0.0687 you can realistically expect to see £0.12-£0.20 a token as people vie for control over this new market place.

Curently riding at a ATH of £0.29 the BAT radically improves the efficiency of digital advertising by creating a new unit of exchange between publishers, advertisers and users. It all happens on the Ethereum blockchain.

The value of the token is centred around the Brave browser and the delivery of adverts to its users (basically Facebook's revenue model) with the stand out feature, you can get a slice of the adverting revenue for watching adverts. I expect to see a lot of growth in this coin very shortly, but hold all year to see close to £0.60-£2 a token by the end of 2018

And finally my top pick to see massive growth in 2018 is FUN

Funfair is currently £0.0397 with a working product that is provably fair, FUN is set to shake up online gambling and make some massive waves in the coming years as the big players start to use this tech to run the behind the scenes parts of the operations, and the inevitable wave of new comers starting the influx of provably fair gambling.

I expect to see this coin hit £1-£3 just in time for Christmas next year.

So there you have it my top three pics for 2018, just remember don't bet the farm on crypto and I am sure you will be fine.

One final thought if anyone has any good links to bloggers on here for cars (not just pretty pictures) and bush-craft please feel free to send me the links.

Until next time invest sensibly and always do your own due diligence.

Sort:

The whole "you upvote me, I upvote you", and the various bots and contests make me believe that many are here purely for obtaining crypto. There is also a ton of great content being created and shared too, if you can get past the stuff that adds little to no value. I enjoyed your post.

Thanks Carol, I genuinely do hope to find a host of good blogs developing on here that don't end up trying to just game the system because this feels like it could have a lot of promise, just I guess until that time happens if you cant beat them...

mm, inauthenticity, whether it be in the digital sphere or in waking life, is not without repercussion. Have integrity, make and keep friends, and create unique and thoughtful content. It will inevitably result in some kind of success, or the platform itself is flawed and will ultimately fizzle out.
