The Bitconnect website is now back online (without login access), with an explanation as to why it has been offline.
From Bitconnect:
"We shall be aiming to reactivate accounts by 3:00PM (GMT), 27 August 2017. The issue has been that many members have withdrawn more BTC and BCC than they held in their wallet."
Unknown yet if it was a glitch or a system hack; however more funds were withdrawn then should have been. They are also asking people to 'return funds' if they have received too much.
We'll see what happens in a few days.
