I believe the FIAT will still be around for some time. However, the more people Opt OUT of FIAT and Opt into Crypto’s, the Grisham’s law (bad money driving out the good) will be executed. This phase has just started.
To me the next good “bubble” is the crescendo of Crypto Opt Ins.
Like you said when people realize they've been bamboozled on bitcoin dying the reversal of the mainstream crowd from jumping ship to FOMO on Bitcoin/Cryptos is going to be epic. 😁

There is a certain truth in numbers and as you said in the video that this thing turns around so fast that it will leave our heads spinning. This month was bear and maybe next few will be as well. But the simple truth of crypto's history indicates that the whole trend has the potential to turned up on its ass - bear today but bull tomorrow.

This video is a subterfuge torpedo attempt by the maintstreet media on Cryptos saying it uses too much electricity. However, they never discuss how FIAT costs much more in vaults, brick and mortar banks, security systems, fraud, central bank systems, dollar printing, cost of exchanges to the poor trying to send money via the criminal Western Union....not a balance viewpoint, IMHO.
Every viewer sees it's own reality. What I found interesting in the video is the fact that for those infrastructure providers regarding mining, if for whatever reasons the bubble would implode and mining wouldn't be needed anymore - there are other sectors (like AI) where computing power is needed, which indirectly will help crypto mining by reducing the risks.
Implode and mining not being needed is possible but not probable and there's a big difference between the two.
I'm aware of that. Both options are very unlikely for me at this point in time. And I shared the video to showcase the investments being made into mining in the US.

I don't know much about mining nowadays, but most miners now use what is called ASIC, application specific integrated circuits, which means that our general purpose computers, no matter how powerful, aren't cutting it anymore.
If you want to mine something, start by searching for non-asic profitability and see what you come up with c;

Every bear market has an end. Bitcoin sets higher highs and higher lows. Feels like we don't have anymore weak hands to shake and price has established a strong support line. I see the only way is up!!
Just wait for the next recession. The economy has been propped up by the banks worldwide and they will soon no longer be able to delay the inevitable. When that happens bitcoin will become the new gold standard and true adoption will begin.
The ETF will bring insane price increase and steemit and d.tube and other SMT based products will take crypto mainstream as users will be able to get their first bit of crypto free just for making quality content

Great video, i hope blockchain takes over waste management too. Centralized accountability systems are failing to prevent the small few from externalising pollution for profit which will end up costing much more than any currency can pay for.
Aggregation is the new buzz word I am coining right now. Example: I don't want to have to go to 5 different video content platforms to see all my favorite content creators so I need a meta platform that serves me from all the various video platforms popping up. Same for social media etc.

The new bubbles will be......1) when mainstream realization they have been lied to sinks in and 2) When someone makes fiat/crypto OTC available to the 3rd world and nations led by despots.

For the coming year, people need to be paying attention to the markets and ready to move fast. Unless you are already pre-positioned in a few good coins (everyone has their differences of opinion here, but Top 20 Market Cap are good choices), I think we'll finally start to see some major disruptions of the broader financial markets and currency crisis that people have been expecting for so long. When the current USD system starts to fall apart, having your money in the correct positions and moving it to where it will give you the best returns could get tricky. Markets move so fast that it's hard to keep up. For the most part, I stay in physical silver and some cryptos. Keeping dollars in the bank seems like just asking for trouble.
Don't forget Steem! Although Steem should be top 20 soon enough.

It's funny because listening to you I thought to myself : "there is not any cyberpunk dystopian futur anticipation novel or book that predicted the blockchain" it was always Megacorporation vs the World. But now with this technology our futur is safe.

Community needs to stop worrying so much about the price and rather consider the implications of Blockchain technology. This price nonsense simply clouds out the signal with noise.
I feel the same way. For things like Bitcoin, as a store of value, the price actually plays a big role in it's survival. For Steem, the price does not matter as much because when the price is low you simply earn more Steem. Also, the fact on Steemit we do not need tokens to utilize the platforms censorship resistance.
Totally agree. Simplicity in necessary and efficient use case of advanced projects will lead to greater utilisation of these working products...even if the masses dont understand or know what they are actually interacting with.
Hopefully that next bubble involves Steem’s value increasing more!

Screw the futures, screw the ETF - It's all attacks on bitcoin to contain the price and keep it low. The USD is UNLIMITED, there's no max supply on that coin! It seems so obvious, but no one cares. I can't convince my friends or family. They just can't see it. I envision a world where things are priced in btc or bits. A true sound money. That's success... and I hope to see the day. Cheers.

It might take some time for the masses to realize that crypto is the opportunity we need to democratize and streamline a huge range of services. The real question is what does it take to tip the sentiment.. A pump to the moon? Maybe a crash in traditional markets?
Hopefully this next pump results in projects with real applications pumping while leaving the skeleton projects behind.
Sentiment changes like the wind, isn't hard to move the masses in either direction. Bitcoin was considered dead last year in August, the sentiment wrong then, and I believe it is wrong right now.

I bought some ethers recently to prepare for the next bubble. Bitcoins are a little expensive for me.

I agree with everything you say, except about not "feeding the beast." Unless you feed the beast some crumbs, by occasionally using Youtube, Facebook and Twitter, etc, it's difficult to get new recruits for Steem. :)
That is true. I quit my YouTube channel out of principle and I am confident I can find other ways to get people to join.
I am confident you can too, as Youtube is only one way to access the masses. But you gotta keep some way to access them, maybe Twitter. :)
I still use Twitter, but I will be traveling to crypto meet up and talks, when there is a will there is a way. Plus, YouTube won't be nearly as popular in a few years ;)

Bitcoin is always interesting. We are seeing things change a big way from the early days of cryptocurrency. This blockchain has a lot more to offer than Bitcoin.
