RE: What happens if you shut down the blinds today and wake up in 10 years from now?

Any idiot can be a competent FB user in less than 5 minutes. Steemit is much too hard and time consuming to use at this moment, to ever challenge FB user count.

If the goal of steemit was to challenge FB, then it needs to be way dumbed down, so the common masses find steemit as easy as FB

Not sure that we really want steemit to be as big as FB.

Thank you for voting and the comparison!

I think the steemit community has different incentives with income opportunity to ensure providing real valuable knowledge or just valuable stuff and stay always active.

I think it contributes to the whole social media in such a manner that it can be better than just socializing with your friends and add some important value.

What do you think how many registered users steemit may have in 2027?

My idea came from Jeff Berwick @dollarvigilante as he talked about the future of Bitcoin and steemit in this great interview. He asked what will happen with this idea because it's not tested for so long and maybe can be as big as FB.

I'm totally with you when it comes to use case. A average FB user just hit some Likes and write short comments without taking care of formatting, language or valuable content. But i'm curious how this different approaches interact with each other or stimulate.
