You realize that Steem can do 100,000 transactions per second right? What exactly do you think qualifies this as the standard, if it is so much slower?

Ripple is already with banks and can send money across borders in under 8 seconds, where does it say that steem can handle 100,000 transactions per second
Specifically it states:
Graphene is capable of 100,000 TPS when we pay for the network to go with it
Steem is a graphene blockchain and therefore is the fastest blockchain currently around, it does transactions in 3 seconds. You can find out more by reading here, https://bitshares.org/technology/industrial-performance-and-scalability/@cryptosig just found on their website that they only handle 1000, ripple can hit 1500 and its just getting warmed up ;)
Following you. Do the same for me if you can.
I'm looking at crypto a little different than many folks. I believe that the banks will always have their say in the markets. So, from a FinTech perspective I think all blockchains will eventually join together. And right now Ripple appears to be the best at working with the establishment. I'd love to completely get away from having to deal with banks but they are so ingrained with society and government that I doubt they'll go away. We just need to have the power to make them work with us in our way and I think Ripple gets that.
