Understanding Tron - The boom of the internet 4.0 ecology

in #crypto7 years ago

Continuing to document what I am investing in and selling ect. I would like to write about Tron and I am actually more interested to get educated on things I don't know about Tron.

The Big Man

The first thing to note about Tron is the main person who is pushing it forward, like many famous entrepreneurs Justin Sun ticks the boxes for future success https://twitter.com/justinsuntron. He doesn't seem to sleep, he constantly tweets (obsessive) and has a wealth of connections behind him. He has also managed to convince many developers from Alibaba to work on Tron's infrastructure mainly because him and Jack Ma (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Ma) seem tight.

Which would make sense as his Twitter bio states "the Only Millennial Student of Jack Ma Hupan University". Here is an article from Forbes on him. https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogeraitken/2017/08/12/could-this-millennial-crypto-tech-visionary-be-the-next-jack-ma/#499cd45a7064

Something people may not pick up on is that he used to be the Ripple Greater China Chief Representative which I like again because I am also invested in Ripple. It's all a connections game really. With the connections he has in Ripple and the connections from Tron I believe it gives him so much room to grow Tron into something special.

Also picked out this:

"Interest in TRON is running on high as it is already showing the same magnitude and growth path as Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, gaining the financial backing and seals of approval from some of the biggest business names in the world. Well, in China to be precise.

The list of protagonists include Tang Binsen, the founder of Clash of Kings; Dai Wei, the founder and CEO of OFO bike, one of the largest sharing economy companies in China; Chaoyong Wang, founder of China Equity Group, one of the largest investment groups in China with market value of over $2 billion (bn); Yin Mingshan, LiFan group founder and one of the largest motor manufacturers in China; Yang Linke, the founder of BTCC.com.

They are joined by Xue Manzi, one of the most famous Angel Investors in China, Huobi.com and Jubi.com amongst others."

The Vision

These are my own words so feel free to correct me in the comments. Tron wants to create and is creating a content distribution network that allows users to post content, chat, watch videos and talk freely. This is quite controversial and from what I can see is the main risk / reward potential of Tron. How can a government take down something like a decentralised network I'm not sure but China could probably and have probably figured it out.

Price progress

At the beginning of November this coin would have cost you around $0.002 which is a ridiculous amount for what this foundation is promising. Now after a large correction Tron is worth $0.1 but still the gains are ridiculous. I think it more than has the credibility and pace to move to $0.2 again as it is really quite different to the other projects and the fact that it is solving an issue of free speech and perhaps even net neutrality it is something I can personally get behind.

thanks for the post, was interesting to read! :)

Glad you enjoyed it. It is mainly opinion based but perhaps sometimes that is worth more.
