The 2018 Line Conference event held a few days ago became the momentum of the company's instant messaging service provider to showcase a variety of innovations. One that is born by Line in this arena is a cryptocurrency exchange service called Bitbox.
Bitbox launch itself has been planned by the company since last January. At that time, Line had a thought to enter the digital currency market.
The plan proved not a mere discourse. Through its announcement at an event held in Tokyo, Japan on June 28, 2018, Bitbox is set to launch in July.
However, this cryptocyrrency Line exchange will not be open to users living in the United States or Japan. This is because there are still confusions of digital currency regulation in the country.
The Bitbox exchange itself will have support for trading of 30 different types of digital currency tokens, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ethereum. Even so, there will be a 0.1% trade cost.
This exchange will be available worldwide with 15 languages. But, as mentioned earlier, Bitbox will not reach consumers from the US and Japan.
