Well we have some good news today! Ethereum finally underwent the first of a number of updates that should be happening this year. Two forks took place today the Constantinople and St. Petersburg network upgrades.
These updates went live on block 7,280,000 and we are currently on block 7,281,041
It does seem however only 24.2% are currently updated to the new hard fork which you can track on the Ethernodes.org network page click here
The Constantinople was said to be a non contested hard fork in which multiple efficiency improvements are made including cheaper transaction fees.
Some more time is needed to really see the outcome of this hard fork. Give it till tomorrow and we should have a final vertict. If anything though its good to see some updates finally happening to Ethereum which will bring it into better competition with the likes of Tron who was starting to take over their market share.
No news is good news as blocks continued to get produced and demonstrate a great progress for the network!
