Hi there. Many new tokens and coins are shilled and elsewhere. It's normally nothing big, but something came up on my radar. It's called WCX, standing for... Well, they didn't say that yet... West Coast eXchange? It's already taken. With that said, let's see what the want to do.
WCX: Setting Up an Exchange
Yup, those guys want to become the new Bittrex, if their website is to be believed.
Well, well: "Global Low-Cost Digital Currency Exchange". Nothing less. With a launch scheduled for the 10th day of the 10th month (Their lucky number, or binary symbolism? You get the call) they boost that their charges are much cheaper than what Bitfinex and others are currently doing.
Those are at least their selling points. One can certainly hope they will succeed. As a Steemit lurker, I've been introduced to the BitShares Assets Exchange and OpenLedger but they constantly give me sync errors. Then you have the MtGox and BTC-e fiascoes. THEN you have shady websites like YoBit promoting shitcoins doomed to fail, or Livecoin, which, while it is the only alternative to get OBITS, the OpenLedger cryptocurrency, certainly doesn't seem reliable as it is.
Market is starting to be dominated by Bittrex and Poloniex, and crypto enthusiasts certainly know monopoly is not a good thing. So I'm gonna bite it, and hope those guys coming from "Apple, IBM, Deutsche Bank, with a lot of experience building scalable services" like their Bitcoin Thread says, are actually honest for a change.
WCX: Launching a Token
In a huge stroke of imagination, they called their token... WCX. What are WCX Tokens. Better let them explain:
Seems like a deal sent from Heaven. Get tokens. Get revenue. I set up random numbers here to get an idea and I got $300. A quite funny number because 1B is 5 times over what the daily volume for Bitfinex does, and it's the biggest Exchange out there. And their list goes until 250B! Still, it could be a nice complementary income. If they can do it, it's huge and definitely something to sail with. That's at least, at the time of writing, what... wait a sec... friggin' number that keeps refreshing... 63,338 people believe! That's a lot of people.
