According to the Q3 2019 XRP Markets Report released by Ripple, the fintech firm sold $66.2 million worth of XRP during Q3 of 2019, a figure that is 74% lower than the $251.5 million that the company sold in Q2. Three billion XRP were released from escrow during Q3, while 2.3 billion were returned and put into new escrow contracts. According to the report, "Ripple was gifted a portion of [the 100 billion units of] XRP and periodically sells a small amount of that into the market." Ripple also addressed recent FUD surrounding the company and token, stating that “bots” were responsible for pushing false narratives.
