Haejin's success on Steemit is based on his wealth outside of Steemit and not his product on steemit.
To give a scenario, Bill Gates could take all of his wealth and buy enough Steem to dwarf all of us to include Haejin and Rancho and all the other whales together. Then, Bill could make a post that says "Microsoft Rules!", upvote himself and literally drain all of the rewards from the reward pool for that time period. Haejin's posts would earn nothing...neither would anybody else's. Would the community be justified in such an instance in downvoting Bill's post? Did he earn it simply because he had the wealth to buy it?
Great thankyou, then whoever designed the system maybe didnt think of these things??????
So its the SYSTEMS FAULT that "allows" anyone with dollars to do this.
My opinion here again, dont blame the person flaunting the system blame the system, blame the person who invented not a greatly thought out system!
As such, if thems the rules, so be it, unless someone changes the rules, bad luck, it is was it is!
And i get the Bill Gates example, however haejin is undoubtedly giving awesome content which many of his 15,000 followers can be benefiting from financially in some examples quite life changing ways. I dont know the answer but how many other people on here have 15,000 followers or more? i have no idea but i imagine there wouldnt be too many, unless they are rockstars or Hollywood celebrity types or whatever...would be very interesting to know.
Who else on Steemit is helping so many people make great money FOR FREE.
There are some i am sure but i dont think as many as him doing it to the level he is doing it and therefore helping out the Steemit community not get Steemit dollars/rewards whatever but dollars in their pocket outside steem thru wealth from crypto, and did i say FREE???
To me anyone who helps the masses (unlike the Gates example, giving zero!!) deserves a great paycheck.
Gates is one of the biggest philanthropists of our time. It wouldn't matter though. In this example, he would still get downvoted. You say that they didn't think of these things, but they did. It's up there in the white paper long before anybody ever got here. The community is supposed to correct themselves. They do that through downvotes. Like haejin, Bill Gates might deserve a paycheck for the work that he does, but it is not Steem's responsibility to give it to him. As many followers as Haejin has, his effect on the steemit community as a whole is overall at this point is negative. He is pulling millions from the platform. Don't blame the platform for attempting to work as it should.
