[ANN] - The BlockPay pre-ICO ...and the FOUR ways you can get a piece of it ($)

in #crypto-news8 years ago

We recorded this short video to show you exactly how this pre-ICO will work and how getting involved in the BlockPay rollout can get you a steady stream of ch-ching's, possibly for the rest of your life.

Passive Income

For those unfamiliar with what an ICO is, it's like a crowdfunding but with added rewards as you will see in the video. ICO just stands for Initial Coin Offering. It's how Investors can get a piece of the company profits.

We have built 5 products so far, and have another 5 that are on the way, each of them producing passive income. Mobile Wallets, QR/NFC BlockPay Integrations, Stealth, Echo, open API's.. Apps and infrastructure, in 44 languages. Tens of thousands of stores are getting BlockPay enabled as we speak, plus the 6 million people attending Oktoberfest here in Munich this year, vending machine OEM's, gas station chains, kiosks...

The BlockPay pre-ICO goes live TODAY

There are now over 50 BlockPay Ambassadors in 28 countries bringing on more Smartcoin Exchanges, more merchants and of course more cryptocurrency users (Bitcoin, Steem, Ethereum, Dash, etc). For Ambassador info, please email our CMO Rodrigo Crespo: rodrigo@BitShares-Munich.de

BlockPay enables any merchant to accept one or more digital currencies at Zero Cost.

If you're interested in Trading or Owning some of the BlockPay tokens (cryptofresh.com/a/BLOCKPAY),
you can purchase them directly...

  1. On the Bitshares DEX (use your OpenLedger.info or Light Wallet)
  2. https://www.ccedk.com/ico/blockpay
  3. BlockPay.ch/newsroom/investor-relations/
  4. or email our CEO/CFO Chris Hering: chris@BitShares-Munich.de

Hi Ken, I just sent in an ICO payment, but there were problems. Can you let me know who I can contact to resolve.

Thanks

Hi james212, yes the CEO/CFO is chris@blockpay.ch and ico/token questions can go to ronny@ccedk.com

Hey James, please send me a mail with the details. Did you left an e-mail in the order module? You should get an order confirmation within 4-5 minutes.

Thanks. email over to your shortly!

Please will you add Syscoin too??

If your coin is listed on coinmarketcap and its cap is large enough for gateways and bridges to support it, then BlockPay supports it automatically. From that point, just ask your local merchant to enable it in the BlockPay settings screen. :)

Thank you! :)

What do you put in the memo for todays pre-ico

Do you just put Pre-ICO of BlockPay to start August 23rd ?

You can leave the memo field empty for now. CCEDK and their Bloggersclub500 offer special codes for marketers and affiliates. As member of the Bloggers club, they receive a little bonus from our bounty program. You can sign up to the program too and help with the promotion.

Due to high demand! Step by Step Tutorial how to buy BlockPay Tokens in Pre-ICO bit.ly/2c28MgA #crypto-news #money #blockpay #steem #bitcoin

Nice presentation Chris, that would be good for people at Meetups

BlockPay is bringing digital currency payment global to all merchants. I'm supporting this project by upvoting and by bringing BlockPay ICO to my crypto network

Great work Chris, just sent 1000 bts to
ico.blockpay via your smartcoins wallet to pick up some ICO tokens. I came across your smart wallet app via fuzzy and the awesome work he's doing on the podcast. Same as @ustas just let me know if the ICO tokens just gets credited to my bitshares account. Is that how it works?

All the best and I'm particularly excited about Echo.

Hi kryptonite,
Yes that is one way. You will get the BlockPay tokens credited at the end of Phase 3. We will send it back to your BitShares account.

Why only 1000 bts? Dont you want to buy some more?

I was testing out the smartwallet more than anything else to be honest. Can't believe that android app has flown under my radar, it's a killer app for sure.

The more I read about blockpay the more excited I get about bitshares in general. Not only does it bridge the gap between crypto and fiat, it has all the usual advantages of the ecosystem and is ridiculously fast.

It's only the peerplays share drop that is stopping me from sending over 1btc worth unless the snapshot takes those funds in to account also?

Yeah Steem is a great example how powerful the Graphene technology really is. BlockPay, Echo and Stealth will demonstrate a new crypto area based on Graphene and BitShares.

Please correct me if I am wrong, the PeerPlays snapshot only considers BTS, including vesting BTS. We probably will get a good amount of PeerPlays token due to the current amount in BTS raised. I am not sure yet how we will use the PeerPlays tokens, but for sure we will pay it forward!

Just bought ~ 7000 Blockpay on top of the 3600 I bought through the OPENPOS early supporter phase, I'm very optimistic regarding the Echo messenger - Whatsapp sold for $20 billion..

I bought 7000 too. Stoked!

Sounds awesome, luckily I just started working as a On Demand delivery driver. Will support the effort soon!

Perfect! You could just install the BlockPay "S" app and start accepting all the top digital currencies same day. Advertising BlockPay support would probably expand your customer base just a bit too :)

Great how do i get in?

I think he opens up the market in roughly 2.5 hours (3pm Germany time)

Bulls! Bulls everywhere!

hehe.

Well done guys, really proud of you @kencode and the rest of the team.

I'll see if I can buy a bit more to support you all!

Thanks for the update, will be supporting this ICO and will tell my friends about it

Im selling half of my xmr for this.

upvote & follow :))

Upvoting and following!

Sent 90 bts to ico.blockpay using Smartcoins Wallet.
Have I managed to get into the pre-ICO ? :)

Yes, you just bought your share in BlockPay tokens. We will send you the Tokens back to your phone once Phase 3 has ended.

Cool!

I keep screaming to people that they are really sleeping on this company and the overall Bitshares crypto-sphere....

I think crowne means that he loves our vision and company :)

What do you mean?

How are profits, dividends or other rewards for owning this token distributed? Does this represent a share in the company? Do we earn fees? What is the assurance of "get a piece of the company profits."

Hi creationlayer,
thank you for your interest in BlockPay. We are building a range of products, focusing on mobile payments and point of sales solution based on Blockchain technologies. Our main products today are BlockPay, Echo, Stealth and the Smartcoins Wallet. The BlockPay token does not represent a share in the company, however, we will allocate a part of our net profits to our BlockPay token holders. The funds are distributed according to the stake. Please also make sure that you keep your BlockPay tokens under your own full control and don´t store them at a centralized exchange . We don´t know if a centralized exchange would pay the profits forward.

Another great way to profit is our global Ambassador Program. We pay up to 15% in sales commission to our top Ambassadors. When you sign up a store, you earn a direct cut off each BlockPay transaction (0.5%*15%) from that store. Please contact us at Ambassador@BlockPay.ch or visit our website www.BlockPay.ch for more information.

I think a bit more clarity on the exact proportion of profits and the function of the tokens would be useful. I couldn't seem to find this information on the website. As it stands this round seems to be around a $16.8m valuation.

Is there any way to crunch the numbers to come up with with a few investment metrics?

Thanks :)

what portion of net profits do you expect to be distributed, for holders of the token, or do you have a process of assessing what amounts will be distributed, how often?

The ambassador program looks great.

Hi creationlayer,
I am working on the best possible solution for everybody. We also have to consider our monthly server bills, costs, taxes, etc. I currently calculate with a quarterly payout to BlockPay token holders. The interval will be shorter over time with a growing cash flow.

To answer creationlayer and wingz questions. A concrete % of the net profits is not defined yet. However, analyzing MyCeliums offer I noticed that a distribution of 5% to the early McCelium investors (2168 BTC collected) leaves the investors with just a few pennies. 5% of the net profit is not much, and then distributed according to investment stake leaves most investors with a pretty small cut. I want to make it better with BlockPay and offer more. I concrete number will be published soon too. Thanks for your patience.

http://themerkle.com/mycelium-integrates-glidera-raises-1-million-in-wallet-project-crowdsale/

I'm not trying to be antagonistic, Mycellium was clearly a bad investment for any investors involved, which is why I didn't take part.

I don't think comparing BlockPay to Mycellium and saying it will be better than that really has any merit.

Hey guys... 'it will be better than a terrible investment, but we're not actually going to tell you what you're investing in or what the tokens actually mean in terms of net profit share'....

Can you see where I'm coming from?

Great job and congratulations again for this revolutionary work! Namaste :)

Blockpay needs ambassadors and integrations to happen which is a big barrier, I invested in the Plutus.it ICO because it uses already available NFC enabled terminals (9.5mill and growing from 2014) and all you need is a mobile app and some crypto.

I really don't understand the business plan when your competitors have a better solution and no need to persuade merchants. They already have things in place from previous real world infrastructure.

#################################

NFC is cool, but I think it limits your purchases to under 50 bucks or something like that. BlockPay "S" and BlockPay Integrated support every major cryptocurrency (BTC, Steem, Dash, bitUSD, bitEUR, bitCNY, Doge, LTC, etc) and is not limited by transaction sizes.. buying a cart full of groceries, a new car, tank full of gas, or dinner for two for example.

Block times are 3 seconds or less and the Graphene blockchain itself has already proven over 100,000 transactions per second which is more than visa and mc combined.

I did a quick vid of it: https://steemit.com/crypto-news/@kencode/blockpay-demo-with-smartcoins-wallet

Merchants can issue Loyalty Points and eReceipts with every transaction if they like, and cash out to their fiat currency of choice.

Now that we are integrating BlockPay via OEM and in retail/grocery/restaurant/vending/petrol chains, this enables any merchant (NFC or QR codes) to accept one or more cryptocurrencies at zero cost. Our mobile apps and ERP modules are all in 44 languages too, so it has made rollouts worldwide very simple.

We also do not require the customer/user to have a special cryptocurrency wallet installed since BlockPay supports them all. Just use Mycelium, or Jaxx, or Dash Wallet or whatever wallet you like best at any BlockPay merchant.

BlockPay also runs on top of the Bitshares Dex, so you never have to worry about an exchange getting hacked or someone stealing your keys. Bitshares users get to keep their keys. For a merchant to come online with BlockPay, all they have to do is import the free module for their point of sale system.

#################################

Merchants get real crypto correct? I have a retail store but sadly I wouldn't accept crypto, it's too volatile. The Plutus 24hr spend is $30 if I recall. Sorry too be negative on Blockpay, but accepting crypto is easy as you say with Mycelium and the likes why get charged 0.5%?

Merchants get non-volatile, market-pegged Smartcoins which encourages them to stay in crypto instead of having to dump back out to fiat again costing them money.

The next version of the Bitshares platform even pays dividends for holding crypto, so this encourages merchants even more to avoid fiat.

Over time you will start to see merchants paying some or all of their employee salaries and pensions in crypto as well. This completes the economic circle.

Lots of crypto nerds out there are willing to spend a couple extra cents to be able to spend their crypto anywhere. Convincing merchants they need to pay more fees to accept crypto, or process credit cards and their fees, not so easy. The 0.5% fee to the customer is very reasonable.

I have listed a few comparisons here:
https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@kencode/top-5-goodies-offered-by-blockpay-integrated-blockpay-s-and-smartcoins-usd

Hi Reholder, Plutus idea is not bad but their white paper shows some serious problems with their business plan. Please check my short analysis of their pricing structure. They promise free, but they are not. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1587349.msg15996215#msg15996215

See above.

If you invested in Plutus, would you consider BlockPay too? I covered a few of your points here:
https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@kencode/top-5-goodies-offered-by-blockpay-integrated-blockpay-s-and-smartcoins-usd

"... but also dogecoin!"

lol, love the emphasis on doge in many of your posts @chris4210 :-)

Keep up the good work!

Who does not love that cute dog? <3<3<3

Thanks for the update man! I like it a lot.

BlockPay kicks ass, no doubt about it. This is the quickest and easiest way to bring cryptocurrencies to the mainstream :)

Thanks, found all questions answered on BCT https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1587349

Hi Kingofchaos,

Yes, you can transfer the BTS to ico.blockpay, we will take the time stamp of the block to evaluate the price for you. I cannot give you an exact time yet since we have to first see how the crowdfunding is picking up steam.

What did you put in the memo field? Can I put Pre-ICO of BlockPay to start August 23rd ?

Thanks, just got some.
Is the amount sold as stated on your website taking everything into account, or only what has been ordered thru your site?
Is this the final Exchange Rate: 0.0238 BLOCKPAY/BTS?

The best place to see the total amount sold is looking at cryptofresh.com/u/ico.blockpay . I am not 100% sure if the counter on the website is also considering the BTS and ETH deposits.

Hi @kencode . Is it really required to have an openledger account to buy blockpay? Any other ways?

Is the price of the blockpay fixed over time?

Hi themanualbot,

We only need a BitShares account from you. You can create the account at OpenLedger or you download the Lightclient at https://bitshares.org/download/ . www.freedomledger.com also works, they give you 2FA with Google.

No the price of BlockPay will be defined by the market once the Tokens are released.

I have to follow you. Pushed the follow button!

You can earn an amazing 15% of the 0.5% they charge per transaction, are you ready to get rich? Cha ching!

Chris I sent you an email to chris@BitShares-Munich.de
regarding the issue I am having please could you please kindly take a look.
Thanks!

Hey stillsafe, I am answering asap. Thank you.

Hi Chris, in your video tutorial it shows to send it to ico.openledger but I am seeing on peoples post that they are sending to ico.blockpay

What does this mean? Is it reffering to me buying the pre-ico tokens? or is it reffering to the bitcoins I sent to the open ledger wallet?

Confused here...

openledger-wallet sent 0.26785716 open.BTC to

you have paid into blockpay with this amount correct?

That is the amount I deposited to my open ledger wallet from coinbase

right so if you have this info you have then confirmation of your order also if you see similar mentioned on account ico.blockpay

I don't see anything else

ok, I guess I get what you are saying now. When you say you are sending btc from Coinbase it will arrive to your account as OPEN.BTC, and if it is sent to to your own account you need to send it from there to ico.blockpay. If you sent coinbase based on a btc adress given to you placing order on blockpay or ccedk site, it will arrive as open.btc directly to ico.blockpay, and you dont need to do anything as this order is regsistered and will be used for distribution when time comes.

"steady stream of ch-ching's, possibly for the rest of your life"

Sign me up, I like money.

I like money

Idiocracy, f*kn love that flic :)

haha me too dude.

Hi again. I realize I send the BtC to the correct address but to openledger-wallet.
Would the transfer still work ?
I am confused and afraid that my money vanished...

Still nothing on my wallet guys...
my BTC have vanished from my openledger wallet.
Who can help me ?

Thanks

ok, lets take it frm the start. Did you order from the order module on website?, what is your order ID if you have received an e-mail? what is the amount you sent? the approx time you sent and I can check for you, also could be good to know the account name on OpenLedger. Tell me this and we can get this straghtened out. openledger-wallet is the hot wallet where the currencies go through in order to reach its destination, so nothing wrong in seeing that account name in this process. Tell me in e-mail ronny@ccedk.com if you like

Hi Sebastian, please send a mail to Christoph@Blockpay.ch for support.

The BlockPay token will be automatically distributed at the end of phase 3 to your OpenLedger account.

The BTC on the ico.openledger account have been moved to the cold storage for security reasons. You find the address on www.blockpay.ch at the ICO page.

I am a bit confused as well but just joined steemit and this plat form and came across this thread. So much to learn but very exciting!

Very nice presentation and update @kencode, cheers!

Why not post all news from one account. Hard to follow.

Any plans to use witness multi-sig to hold wallet balances? I understand if that may not be your focus on the roll-out.. It sure would be cool if we had a secure way to hold a lot of funds on different chains though in the same wallet.

Hi jamesc,

can you be more specific please? What do you mean?

As a secondary wallet, if a user wants to spend Bitcoin, their "large" wallet can sign a transaction with the user's private key and put it on the Bitshares network. The Bitshares witnesses can create and all start signing a multi-sig transaction to spend the Bitcoin on the Bitcoin network. This takes the balance away from a server that could be hacked and instead puts it into the hands of many witnesses (which would all need to be hacked).

I'm not sure how this would all work under the hood. More research is needed on this...

Sounds interesting, I will skype you about this idea.. Thanx James :)

Great ! The site says you can get a promo code:
did you set one up for the Steemit community ?

Thanks !

We did not set up one for the Steemit community, The code is given to members of the Blogger 500 Club, a program by CCEDK.com . You can look for @favu , he is one of the members

Thanks. I moved fwd and did a small transfer. Just to see.
I guess we will receive the tokens once the market will be live: In the meantime how can we monitor the size of our future wallet ?

Best.

Hi Sebastien,

you can see the size of your wallet at OpenLedger or at the BitShares light client. Depends what service you use to manage your account.

Strange. I do not see any Blockpay tokens.

Good job BUT i followed the tuto just right here https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1UCXecF8PAqNuwrIH4omB1-UQW87WpxgqiJ1aH5ede-E/pub?start=false&loop=false&delayms=3000&slide=id.g15ca6524e5_0_159
and i sent 1 BTC for the moment but i did NOT receive the confirmation mail and it's been 3 hours ....
The transaction is here and i don't know why there is some withdrawl on this adress now... it is tricky... i hope i don't loose my bitcoin!!
https://blockchain.info/address/1K7YMLDuAFY47bXYe79wSF3nVmfL5cowmp

Hi Damien-beverly,

don´t worry. Please send me a mail at Christoph@BlockPay.ch . I will look into your case and help. You. I am online for the next few hours for support :) No information gets lost on a Blockchain . Please also send me your OpenLedger account name in your E-Mail. Thank you.

cheers Chris

Hi @chris4210, thank you very much for taking time and answer!
I just received the mail 'BTC order from blockpay' so i think that everything is finally OK!?
The adress was 1K7YMLDuAFY47bXYe79wSF3nVmfL5cowmp and apparently we just have to wait till the end of the crowdsale and the tokens will be on our Openledger wallet that's it? thank you again

yes correct.

BlockPay tokens will be distributed at the end of phase 3

Danke

is there any conditions and long term contracts like with Steem Power?

Hi juansgalt,

what do you mean with long term contracts? BlockPay, Echo and our Smartcoins wallet is supporting Steem and Steem Dollars as payments. Steem Power are vesting funds and not transferable.

vg Chris

What's actually being purchased here? Is it coins/assets of the company? If so, and you say there is passing income, where are the financials?

Hi jacobt,
you can purchase BlockPay Tokens in this Pre-ICO crowdfunding. The tokens do not represent a share, stock, or equity of the company but they will give you a portion of the net profits.

BlockPay "S" and BlockPay for Odoo is launching in Q4 2016 and we don´t have the direct transaction data yet. I will publish a monthly financial report once we started to keep you all up to date with our growth.

I ran some numbers. They plan to release 100 million tokens. If I spend say 15 Ethereum I only get 1000 tokens or less than 0%. At today's exchange rate of 10.95 each it comes to 164.95. I don't know what the return will be on 1000 tokens. I am not sure what I am buying also, where is the payment schedule or any information on return? Are you just gambling the token is going to be worth more after this fund raising?

Hi vrdad,
thank you for your question. We are going to introduce several products in the market over the next few months, starting with BlockPay "S" and BlockPay for Odoo in Q4 2016. I am a huge fan of lean startup and a milestone to milestone project management. We are offering in this Pre-ICO 5 million tokens so that we can valid our vision and business plans in the market . Once we have proven our concepts we will proceed with a 2nd ICO to fund global growth. It is too early today to base future earning on the 100 million tokens, 5 million is more realistic.

Please also consider that when we move into the 2nd ICO we will have a steady positive cash flow, multiple products on the market and an active global partner network that support our plans. Our monthly transaction volume and fees will be higher by then.

Sounds scammy. What exactly is blockpay. What is its vision/mission and how are you going to accomplish it. Also what is the economic model.

Lots of docs for you to get up to speed:
https://steemit.com/@kencode

Please also read the official Bitcointalk ANN here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1587349

Where is the counter of how many You collected?
Can We see a public key of the address which collect the funds?
These tokens are just some random tokens or it's a share? If it's a share in the company, what is the company? How the profit will be distributed?

Blockchain: http://cryptofresh.com/u/ico.blockpay

Nice article. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I found that running a business depends on having enough money to run the business but definitely not to much. We give this icos to much money so they are less intended to do an amazing job, they don't have to work to become a profitable business because in their eyes they are already. An interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com This site gives you a complete in depth investment analysis on every crypto in the market.
