Hello all together,
ist Sunday again an das promised, here is newsletter 2/2018.
I really wouldn’t have thought, that I am going to write about China this week. But all the FUD about the ban of exchanges, ICOs, Bitcoin and so on, coming up this week, was already known. And still there was a dip of about 50% in the over all crypto marketcap. From About 820 billion USD total marketcap on January 7th, there were only 414 billion USD marketcap left over on January 17th, which pretty much is about 50%.

Congratulations to everyone who bought that dip and since then were able to gain 43% yields.
Sweden is aiming to launch an e-Krone. While it is not certain that the project will be operated by blockchain or cryprography technology at all, I’m sure it will help cryptocurrencies get more widespread. Also the IOTA Foundation is on the list for potential partners.
Bitconnect, an cloud mining scam which performed well in 2017 crashed. Their marketcap fell of an all time high on December 28th at 2.95 billion USD to 1.2 billion USD on January 16th and to 0.016 billion USD today. This means a reduction of marketcap of 99.5% within 3 weeks. I think Bitconnect won’t recover from that.

This confirms my on suspicion that many scam coins will crash in 2018, as more and more people become #cryptofit
Also there are news about TON (Telegram ICO):
I myself have not yet read the published whitepaper, but a PoS and 52% of token self-retention sounds very suspicious.
Still, I think that the ICO will be successful, even though Telegram has raised the target to $ 2 billion, which would immediately put them in 22nd place on cmc.

Swift, the current standard for Interbanktransactions, merged with seven central banks, to consider if they could use the blockchain technology.

Something I completly missed in December was that the Blockchain Bundesverband of Germany published a position paper on how Cryptos could be regulated.

This week, Germany and France announced that they want to regulate Cryptos until Eastern, what will be hard, regarding the fact that after elections in september, Germany still doesn’t have a new functioning government.

What can happen, when you generate your private key on the internet has been shown to yome IOTA owners on the night of January 19th to 20th. Some wallets whose seed was generated online have been cleared. “The good news: The IOTA technology is secure”! (Ralf Rottmann). This can happen to anyone who creates his seed/private key, no matter which cryptocurrency, online.
This website shows you some secure ways to generate your IOTA seed:
